The 13th issue of Bizarre Life will please femdom fans and fetishists alike. Some Bizarre Life issues have been deliberately ignored as candidates for ebook material because the content is of poor quality or inappropriate, i.e., male dom., female bondage or otherwise deficient. Thirteen satisfies with some conscientious costuming, competent photography and a few surprises.

The page sequence in the digital replica duplicates the original, except that one page is moved from the back to achieve continuity of a prose piece. Most of the page layouts have been retained. About half the pages have been enlarged to fill the space delineated by the original page size, reducing the empty margins at page edges. This yields larger pictures in the ebook than in the original.

The tonality of photographs and illustrations has been adjusted and many specks retouched. The digital replica provides a viewing experience superior to that of the printed magazine.

Unfortunately, too many pictures were placed on the pages yielding some small photographs. (Click on the cover, above.) This layout practice makes it difficult to optimize the smaller pictures. In the optimized version, some of the smaller photographs appear with soft edges. Also, some may be dark or grainy.

Despite shortcomings, the optimized ebook offers the best way to see the original images, both large and small. More than 175 brightened pictures are collected in a convenient fetish album, designed to reduce the need for zooming and scrolling and anticipate the curiosity of the viewer. The last 50 pages of the optimized ebook contain all the Bilbrew and Stanton illustrations, including the Stella Cravit panels.

Fans of femdom imagery and fetish attire will enjoy the two ebooks that are based on this carefully produced magazine from 1970. The original publication is an excellent Bizarre Life product and provides classic content for the digital iterations.
