Self-sacrifice, self-discipline, and hard work are the driving forces behind THIS masochism.
Either one of these if taken to an extreme could be destructive both to the masochist and the mate. It is as plain to me as day that these two must be integrated, or brought together in the masochist's psyche.
Yet, how often do I get letters from "Physical Masochists" complaining that their Mistresses don't give them enough sessions. They go on to say that they want to "serve" a dominant woman 24 hours a day. Their notion of "service" is that of the women DOING something to (or for) THEM.
These masochists are driven by an almost overwhelming desire to EXPRESS this masochism. Sometimes to the point where they harass their Mistress so much that she finally leaves them, or they coerce the Mistress into meeting with other dominants in the hopes of having a session with the other woman.Why, I ask, go through all this hassle, harassment and frustration when all you have to do is change your attitude a little. Yes—serve your Mistress, but do it in ways that benefit HER. Allow the psychological side of your masochism to develop ALSO. There are hundreds of ways you can serve her and express yourself as HER slave.
