The magazine opens with these words:
“When I was 17, I whipped my first man. The unbelievable sexual excitement I felt then has been repeated hundreds of times . . . . Some people call this kind of sex Bondage and Discipline. Some call it Sado Masochism. . . . It is who we are and what we do that counts. . . . Before we go on, I should say I am real and all the photos in this magazine are photos of real people who are devoted to the wonderful world of B & D.
“Many people assume that B & D involves ugly, brutal behavior. Brutality is a low form of expression. It does not enter into my scene. I enjoy my form of lovemaking and devote my life to it.
“Many of the men who come to me are men who hold responsible positions in their jobs — lawyers, doctors, professors, politicians. They are dominant 10 to 12 hours a day. They make decisions, run businesses and hold a firm hand on their corporations. . . . Their minds become starved for a different form of play. A kind of game that temporarily removes them from their hectic reality. Their minds are tired and their bodies require genuine stimulation.
“ . . . I have supplicants [who] come to kiss my polished leather boots . . . .
“I feel that women should be admired and worshiped by men. For a man to put himself in the hands of a woman, whether as her toy, piece of furniture, whatever she wants him to be for her sole pleasure . . . . ”
The magazine presents a sexy, statuesque redhead with plenty of attitude. She appears in several complete fetish costumes — tall boots, long gloves and corsets. When she's not wearing sunglasses, she dons ornate harlequin masks, a couple with butterfly graphics.
As she says in her first-person text, the pictures are mostly about what she does to a submissive male, a submissive woman and with a colleague. In a shiny dress, Countess Anne poses in front of a wall of handy punishment tools.
In one sequence, she dresses as a nurse, has a nurse assistant, and administers genital torment to a male strapped to a white table. In another, she abuses a blond in fishnets and locks her in a cell with a man.
She has fun hurting people and pictures show us what that looks like. Unlike models who pose as angry dominants in Eros Goldstripe magazines, the Countess appears serene and relaxed. This, too, aligns with her self-description.
The ebook contains all content of the 56-page magazine, including advertising. Some page layouts were revised. The original page sequence is retained in the digital replica.
Generally, the photography is excellent. Brightness and contrast were adjusted and shadows reduced. The images transposed nicely to ebook format.

Bizarre Diary, Part 1
In 1978, Countess Anne says that she's 25-years-old. “I am a dominant woman: a Mistress; a sexual sadist. I get my kicks from controlling, disciplining, and humiliating those who submit to me.”
The memoir provides first-person accounts of episodes the Mistress enjoyed with men and women. In some scenarios, she's assisted by a colleague or resident servant.
Her focus concerns hurting those who volunteer to submit to her cruel, demeaning whims. Many rituals involve boots and whips, but she also uses medical equipment.
Her competent prose provides vivid details of the bizarre activities that please her. She demonstrates insight into her own feelings and sensations as well as those of her eager victims.
The text was scanned separately from the pictures and re-set for the ebook version. Except for spelling corrections, few changes were made to the prose. 46,000 words.
The paperback book contains 12 photographs. As the paper is old and rough, the pictures appear grainy in the ebook, despite the application of multiple image-editing tools and filters.
In the ebook, pictures were placed close to their location in the original. Except for advertisements, the ebook contains all content of the book.
Bizarre Diary was made into an ebook because a customer asked for it. The intelligence and articulateness of the book, and its unique real-world viewpoint, make it a worthy addition to the catalog.
