A booklet of 64 pages, Painful Persuader, Volume 1, tells a grotesque tale of captivity, torment and degradation. Alan and his coterie of sadists operate a secret European establishment that accommodates wealthy clients with bizarre ambitions. They pay to have women brought there and endure gruesome regimens of pain for the purpose of coercing the “patient” to agree to do something they would otherwise avoid or make them a submissive member of a household.
Countess von Zenden contracts with Alan to apply his cruel methods to her niece, Baroness Mercedes, and obtain her consent to marry a “thoroughly unpleasant specimen” of a man. Alan and his personnel apply canes, needles, whips, cats, clamps, locking bars, shackles and solitary confinement to bend the young beauty to their will. He also abuses the shapely woman for his pleasure.
Typewriter text provides gruesome details of vile punishment. Not for the squeamish.
The booklet contains four illustrations by the same artist who drew the Rutitarian Discipline pictures. Action shown in drawings do not precisely coincide with events in the story.
