Printed on rough-textured paper, this full-sized magazine collects pictures and fiction that explore dark corners of domination and submission fantasy between men. The stories dramatize scenes of brutality, not love, in an assortment of locales. Ropes, chains, handcuffs, whips, collars, and safety pins hurt captive men, in and out of bondage, while cruel protagonists exult in their sadistic rituals.

The Treasury shows no publisher, but was edited by Larry Townsend. This was the first in a series of at least four fiction anthologies illustrated with drawings (many signed SEAN) and photographs.

Stories have names such at The Punk, The Cane, and a Trucker's Weekend, but no writers are identified. It's possible that most text in this volume originated with Mr. Townsend. In a section called Excerpts, he reprints scenes he likes from two novels: The Fairy King (1970} and The Scorpius Equation (1971). The first takes placed during a Paris massacre in 1572, the second on a space ship.

Some narratives tell tales from the aggressor's viewpoint, other from that of the victim. In all stories, one or more men enjoy hurting another, sometimes as self-defense, sometimes by request, sometimes without consent. Plenty of spanking and outrageous penetration.

Nearly every pictures reveals an erect penis or two. A couple of pictures show oral sex between men.

All of the content of the 48-page magazine is included in the full-sized digital replica. Ebook page sequence duplicates the original. Brightness and contrast were adjusted. A few page layouts were revised slightly for better viewing.

All new scans.

At both whip ends, the manly characters in this earnest Treasury of S & M expose prodigious genitalia, both circumcised and uncut. The imagery threads cruel power — man-over-man — as a turbulent sexual theme throughout the magazine. Vicious sadists and their abused prey fuel wild gay fantasy in varied settings. The ebook offers easy access to Mr. Townsend's pioneering collection
of savage scenarios.

On December 1, 2022, Bolerium Books of San Francisco offered their description of this book:

Self-published by the author, [1972]. Magazine. [48p] 8.5x11 inches, stories (by Townsend) illustrated with b&w photos and with explicit erotic drawings by Sean, very good magazine/booklet in stapled green explicit pictorial wraps. First in a series from Townsend. He is listed as editor but much of the material is clearly his, several excerpted from his novels.
