From 1957 to 1963, CBS broadcast a TV Western about a man who fixed problems for a fee. He might function as negotiator or hit man, often quoting famous writers to justify his approach. The weekly program was titled Have Gun Will Travel and its protagonist was named Paladin.

The program provides cultural context for the the pretext of the undated Satellite publication titled Have Leather Will Fashion. The premise presents troubled wives with a wise and competent problem-solver named Polladeane, who counsels and purveys leather attire to turn the attention of preoccupied husbands toward their neglected wives.

Peggy Weaks discovers an advertisement for Polladeane's service in a fetish magazine that husband Paul had brought home. She writes, explaining her husband's indifference, and soon the expert arrives at her front door with a big array of leather goods.

What follows are descriptions of Peggy in the varied leather costumes her mentor suggests. This type of tight leather attire is new to the young wife, but she soon comes to appreciate how attractive it makes her, despite some discomfort. For example . . . .

Well aware that the proper application of these garments took a long time, especially for the first fitting, Polladeane began preparing shy little Peggy, so that she would be outfitted in gleaming, exciting leather by the time that Paul got home from work late that afternoon.

First they had a trial with the ultra-high-heeled shoes so that Peggy could have some time to practice and get used to walking in these bizarre creations. Since she had given her correct shoe-size in her letter to Polladeane, there was no problem of fit, but there was a great problem of Peggy learning to walk up on tiptoe in pumps, even without the further complications of high boots and tight lacings to limit her motions. With her instep arches bowed forward most glamorously, and the pressure of her weight pressing down on her toes, Peggy found it very difficult to walk, or even stand, on such a small base. However, Polladeane assured her that with a little practice she would become adept and truly exotic in her poses and striding before an appreciative audience.

Next Polladeane began to fit bizarre black leather gloves onto Peggy, extending up well above her elbows and nearly to her shoulders so that her whole arm was encased tightly in glistening black. Fastening up the palm, the sleek, clinging leather made her hands most sensuous, and even when she flexed her joints there was scarcely a wrinkle to be seen in the stygian flexible coverings.

To insure a tight fit over the wrists, Polladeane now laced odd, strong wristlets onto the unsuspecting Peggy. They were of stiff black leather and several inches wide, holding a firm grip on the girl. But the really bizarre part was that there were rigid, leather-covered horns projecting out from the wrist-casings, with small metal rings in the ends. Peggy was so fascinated by her sudden introduction into leather bondage costumes that she did not think to ask the purpose of these odd lateral horns at her wrists. But she was to find out about these, and other off-beat gadgets, soon enough under the loving domination of Polladeane's bizarre instruction.

The fact that her feet were hurting from standing so high on her toes, and her hands were tingling from the tight lacing of the gloves and wristlets, did not bother Peggy at all. In fact she welcomed these penances since her husband, Paul, would like her garbed this way, and would feel again a resurgence of his ardent love for her, his eager and passionate wife. And more than anything in the world, Peggy wanted to be the recipient of his urges and desires and love.

Having started on the preparation of Peggy's extremities, Polladeane now arranged to have the victim's exquisitely formed torso properly clad. Peggy was stripped so that her costume would be of suitable design and mood from her quivering warm pink flesh out. The naive young wife was very shy and modest about revealing her nude body before this strange woman visitor, but Polladeane insisted, and soon Peggy was wearing a snug garter belt that held up her long nylon hose without a sign of a wrinkle.

Over this was put on dark, sleek, superbly tight nylon brief panties that hugged and pressed her hips and pelvis with intimate snugness. Finally a sheer lace bra was fitted on her so that it raised and forced out and up her delightfully large and firm breasts throwing them into fantastic prominence. As she saw her feminine charms thus emphasized and flagrantly displayed, Peggy blushed at this offense against her native modesty, but deep in her warm heart she realized that this flaunting of her female assets was just what was needed to again attract Paul and make him desire her as she wanted to be desired.

The next leather costume item to adorn Peggy's lush and excitingly exposed figure was a gleaming black waist-cinch, so small in diameter that when she first saw it Peggy was certain that it could never be made to encircle her waist. But Polladeane was thoroughly familiar with such devices and their application. Despite Peggy's frightened protests the waist-cinch was placed around the young wife and then slowly tightened into place. Inch by inch the laces were pulled in by the deft hands of the professional bondage expert. Peggy's gasps at the increasing pressure only urged Polladeane on to increase the tension. Peggy could feel all her internal organs being forced out of place by the terrible pressures, and now she could only breathe with difficulty.

Finally after minutes of tugging at the strong laces, Polladeane brought the edges of the tiny waist-cinch together, as her experience had told her she could if she kept at it long enough and totally ignored the objections of the wearer. She stepped back now to admire her handiwork at this stage, and was well satisfied with what she saw. Gently she led Peggy over to a full-length mirror and let the naive young housewife look at herself and admire the changes that had been wrought in her appearance.

In spite of her embarrassment at having her breasts thrust into such amazing prominence, and the full flare of her lush hips emphasized by her truly miniature, cinched-in, waist, and her long legs made even more attractive by her bizarrely high heels, Peggy had to admit, both to herself and to Polladeane that this was just what she had wanted. Surely Paul could not resist all this tight-laced glamor and this exotic black leather. He would be tremendously excited and stimulated by the fantastic change in his formerly demure little wife, and would again give her all the passionate intimate loving that she so ardently wanted from him.

As she moved and posed before the big mirror, Peggy could see as well as feel the bizarre mutations in her body which had been artificially produced by her partial bondage costume. Her full firm breasts seemed about to burst from her chest and fly upward and outward in sheer female exuberance and desire for attention. Each time she breathed, Peggy felt as if her bosom was being forced even further up and out. The cinch had drawn her waist in to a fantastic smallness, so that it could be easily spanned by Paul's excited hands when he wanted to hold her tight and affectionately close to him. . . .

A fine piece of fetish erotica, the writer isn't named. There are similarities in the vocabulary used here and that found in “The Whip Hand” (“Bizarre Honeymoon”) in Unique World, One, 1971.

The carefully crafted prose observes Peggy's desire for and subservience to husband Paul. A story about a wife who dresses to please her husband is a classic fetishist fantasy, even if he doesn't appreciate it at first. But here, under the supervision of Polladeane, the women wind up dressing the man of the house in leather attire.
