Legend describes a conversation in which Irving Klaw tells Eric Stanton that the producer/retailer has helped develop the Eric Stanton name as a valuable brand and that the artist was not to use it when selling his work to other publishers. Stanton's cat fight comics printed by Peerless Sales were sometimes signed Stan or Stanten.

Gargoyle Sales Corporation Bulletin No. 4 advertises a set of 48 chapters of bdsm illustration authored by Van Rod. The sample picture is not by Mr. Bilbrew.

Did Mr. Klaw deny Mr. Bilbrew the “right” to use the ENEG pseudonym on non-Klaw publications? Was Van Rod a standard brand of Gargoyle Sales?

We notice that Mr. Bilbrew signed as Van Rod or J. Bondy when he used a brush, whether with ink or paint. But he also signed as ENEG-O for some femdom ink work and as Gilbert for some transvestite stories.

We received a package of 48 photo prints, approximately 8" x 5", titled The She Dominater. The tableaux match the 48 pages found in Stantoons 74 – Whip Artist. The two sets differ in details on many pages – the tilt of heads, costumes, shading. And the Stantoons version has 48 blocks of text.

The ebook combines the prose of Stantoons 74 with the 48 prints, which might be called cards. We've seen most of these illustrations accompanying short stories in Bizarre Life, High Heels, Unique World and other Eros Goldstripe magazines.

Told in the first person, the story concerns a private investigator named Crayle who's looking for “Missing Submissive” Toni Hunt. He believes he'll find her at the home of whip entertainer Lasha, who isn't the protagonist of the ENEG comic with that name.

She catches him in criminal trespass, disarms him with her quick whip, soon has him bound and helpless, and makes him wear too-tight panties. Chained in a stony dungeon, he gets more whipping.

He meets submissive, hand-cuffed Toni Hunt, missing because she enjoys being abused by Lasha. Toni fixes a bridle into Crayle's mouth, attaches him to a cart and he becomes pony boy for the sadistic lady of the estate.

He gets plenty of whippings, bondage and teasing. Party-goers dress him in women's clothes. And so on.

Young Mr. Bilbrew delineates sublime female forms in boots, high heels, gloves, hosiery and wispy undies. He deftly captures the transparency of filmy negligees. He's generous with ruffle-trimmed lace panties and bras. Lasha and her cohorts often appear in lace and fishnet halters that trace perky anatomy.

Brightness, contrast and levels were adjusted. Shadows were reduced to expose boot laces, waves of hair, drape of fabrics, transparency and stitching.

The ebook presents the brilliance of 48 Bilbrew illustrations on more than 130 optimized pages. Virtual enlargements expose graceful figure features and fetish details. His subtle gradients and gleams are easy to see and enjoy.
