Decision Day
Like the story told in Arlo Guthrie's Alice's Restaurant, Decision Day gives an account of a young man's reluctant visit to a Selective Service office in New York during the war against Vietnam. While the narrator in Alice is found ineligible because of his slight criminal record, Robert/Roberta is disqualified by the fact that a psychiatrist finds him to be a genuine transvestite.

A secretary at the office invites Roberta for a date that night. She and her girlfriend pick him up and have a sexy romp in the car.

The first-person narrative is told by Roberta. As she has intelligence and insight, the articulate text tells her story with self-aware candor. Fond of sheer, frilly garments and all things feminine, she provides detailed descriptions of her clothing in two dress-up progressions.

The Mutrix booklet contains seven illustrations by Eric Stanton, plus the front cover and back cover. His quick, inky sketches show incidents from Roberta's visit to the government office and the date. To fill all 64 pages, pictures are included from the famous set attributed to Bernard Montorgeuil. Poorly reproduced, those that appear have no connection with the story or transvestite theme.

Except for advertising, the ebook replicates the complete content of the Mutrix booklet in the original page sequence. Tonality was adjusted.

Queen of Transvestites
A gorgeous tyrant with a talent for cruelty and humiliation, Mimi rules her domain as her mercurial whims impel. Her subjects are vulnerable transvestites, recruited by her servants. Mimi enjoys exercising her regal authority, intimidating her flock and hurting individuals.

The style and vocabulary of Ronnie West's prose suits the subject matter. Colors, textures and appropriate details relate what's important about clothing, devices and action. The erotic narrative tells us about a strange world populated by transvestites, and seems as though it's written from a transvestite's point of view.

The drawings depict events in the text. The artist captures the gleeful meanness of the protagonist and the fear and worry she inspires in her retinue.

Except for two pages of advertising, the ebook replicates the complete content of the booklet in the original page sequence. Tonality was adjusted.
