an original anthology
After Leonard Burtman discontinued publication of his now legendary Exotique magazine in 1959, he introduced Satana, Leg Show, Bizarre Life, Corporal, Three, Stocking Parade, and others, including High Heels. His 60’s publications had more and larger pages and better photography.
The major shortcoming of Mr. Burtman's High Heels magazines was that they did not contain many pictures of models in high heels. They also contained articles about thieves, yachting, bullfights, museums, and other subjects unrelated to the magazine's title subject.
High Heels Remix, No.1, collects the best model pictorials from 8 issues that were published from 1962 to 1970. Sources include High Heels. Vol 2, No 5, High Heels, No. 13, High Heels, No. 15, and High Heels, No. 16
"Best" is defined here as meaning pretty models in high-heeled shoes and boots. Many of the photos show models in full-fashioned stockings. Most photos are monochrome but some are color.
Models include —
• Diane Robbins
• Michelle Dorian
• Yvonne Warner
• Gloria Rand
• Penni Peyton
• Babette
• Sandra Evans
• Charlotte King
• Doris Bradford
• Toni Troy
• Alice Denham
• Kathey Keene

This volume also includes photo pieces about dressing-up in high heels, filler photos, Gene Bilbrew illustrations (including four pages of Fashions Fantastic), Eric Stanton illustrations (including a two-page/8-panel episode of The Savage Sisters serial), Letters/Mailbag/High Heel Parade pages (which contain some of the best pictures), three short stories (each introduced by a Bilbrew illustration), and advertisements.
Most page layouts were revised to allow presentation of images at maximum size. The edges of some photos were trimmed, removing carpet, furniture, lamp shades and curtains, in order to obtain larger pictures of the models.
