Maid in France by Eneg
Eneg's Maid in France comic serial was advertised by Irving Klaw in the form of photographic prints in 1954. The work follows Ladies in Rubber and Sorority Girls.

In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Bélier Press republished many of Mr. Klaw's bondage comics in a multi-volume series titled Bizarre Comix. Although the quality of Maid in France compares well to the comic serials in Bizarre Comix volumes, this excellent work has not be published by anyone for more than 50 years.

Maid in France includes some lovely ink and wash illustrations by Mr. Bilbrew, who here exercised his creative strengths in the design of complex mechanisms of restraint that stretch helpless damsels in steel clutches and ropes. The devices pose superb bodies in uncomfortable contortions, well-suited to the optimal display of lithe female figures. High-heels, corsets, gloves, hosiery, panties and bras provide sexy accent for Eneg's feminine forms.

In 30 episodes, Gene Bilbrew, signing as Eneg, tells us the story of Colette, who works without pay in a boutique for women operated by Madame DuBois. Madame DuBois treats her pretty captive to painful punishment for alleged on-the-job mistakes and tardiness. The penalties include bondage in complex contraptions involving ropes and straps, being tied to chairs, and spankings. When Colette is permitted to sleep, she dreams of forcing her mean employer into bondage schemes, and Eneg's pictures show us what they look like.
We learn that Baron Von Klietz is blackmailing Madame DuBois. Flayme and Sari also seek the shoppe's revenue and kidnap Colette. The story continues with reversals, reprisals, revenge, pistols and police.

The settings and devices show off characters' pretty legs in high-heeled shoes. Demeanors vary from sexy anger to distressed innocence.
The multi-panel episodes are disassembled for the optimized ebook, with each picture positioned on a separate ebook page. The wide aspect ratio makes the most of the images and monitors,
filling the screen from top to bottom with lovely bodies in bondage.

Some of the walls, floors and furniture have been cropped out of these pictures in order to obtain larger images of the characters. A second ebook of version of Maid in France presents all 30 episodes, complete and unedited, as originally sold by Mr. Klaw. These multi-panel pages show the original layouts and text.

Historic, erotic and fun, this unique presentation of one of Mr. Bilbrew's best early works is a must-have digital asset for fans of this 20th-century master of line and form. Authentic and complete.

The Scarlet Widow by Ruiz
Most of Adolfo Ruiz' comic serials are set in Central America or the Southwest. The Scarlet Widow has maritime and Middle Eastern design elements, with many scenes set on an ocean-going ship. Turbans and shoes with turned-up toes mix with lace-trimmed undies.

Mr. Ruiz' shapely ladies invariably stand in mules and sandals with high heels and most wear stockings. Faces, hair and make-up seem to have been informed by movie actresses of the 1940s and 1950s, as do the “perils” that hold them captive. Most episodes consist of a single illustration and a block of narrative text without dialog.

Scarlet Widow purveys slave women for her wealthy clientele. She kidnaps pretty tourists and keeps them in painful bondage until they surrender to their captor. This story also involves alligators, an octopus, and a shark. Much of the bondage consists of ropes, pulleys, chains, rings, weights, and pipes.

Two ebook versions of The Scarlet Widow, are included: an optimized version, which zooms in on the pretty figures of Ruiz' healthy characters, and a digital replica of the 20 pages in Bizarre Comix, Volume 12.

Poor Pamela, by Eric Stanton
Mr. Klaw advertised episodes of Poor Pamela in product bulletins in 1949, 1950, and 1951, making this comic serial among Mr. Stanton's earliest. The 24 episodes have the format of a comic, with multiple panels, narrative blocks and dialog balloons. While the ink drawings have a sketchy quality, bodies are shapely, heels are high and stocking seams are straight.

Marla pays Pamela an unexpected visit and immediately ties her with rope. When Dolly arrives, she unties Pamela and promptly hogties Marla. Other characters become involved in a jewel heist. Bondage appliances include a typewriter table, trunk, and wood X frame. Mr. Klaw's bondage photographs inspired many of the bondage schemes in these illustrations. While not his best work, Mr. Stanton's pictures show an exercise of talent that betrays his fondness for and fluency with slender female figures.

Two ebooks present the appealing details of Pamela and her woes. The optimized version presents one or two comic panels per ebook page. The digital replica shows each of the 24 episodes, as as originally sold by Irving Klaw, with complete, unmodified page layouts.
