Volume 15, Number 10 collects varied prose pieces that present scenarios in which women dominate submissive men. Stories (some serialized) and letters describe relationships in which males serve the whims of women who select them. These are not cases of women changing or converting men, although one suitor doesn't expect the woman he desires to treat him as she does. Rather, men volunteer for submissive roles in the lives of women who enjoy the pleasures of having obedient servants.

The first-person narrative named Pleasure All One Way develops a metaphor that dramatizes the typical Madame in a World of Fantasy relationship.

The advertisement had said tersely: "Doormats wanted". I knew then that I had found what I had always wanted, the ultimate in subjection, to be treated as a doormat. I wanted nothing more than to be supine at the threshold of my mistress's boudoir for her to wipe her feet on me whenever she entered or left.

Later in the story, the narrator lies supine on skin-abrading straw mats while his Mistress amuses herself with his frustration.

In an essay titled Assessing a Novice Slave, a nurse who enjoys domination games describes steps she takes to size up a male who aspires to be the object of her attention, including . . .

. . . the extremities. For this, I like to spreadeagle the slave, untying and re-tying as it seems appropriate. There is much pulling, pushing, pinching and a lot of fun for me. I especially enjoy working on the toes.

Then, a more extensive taking of pulses at various parts of the body, both lying down and erect. I like to tease the slave at this point, for normally his pulse quickens.

Perhaps the most fun is to have the slave erect, with the hands behind the head and legs spread, as noted earlier. In this posture I have the slave cough and listen to his breathing as I torment him in endless little ways.

I work especially in the area of the genitals. Heaven help the slave who even twitches as I play my little game. It can mean the riding crop where he is most sensitive.

In that sensitive area, I poke, prod, pinch, apply pressure to the testes. I even poke the end of my riding crop against his anus making him bend over to make it easier for me.

Then it is time for hands cuffed behind the back and kneeling, nose touching the floor while I question him intensively about his diet and eating habits. . . .

In another account, John believes Stella invites him over to her place for romance. On their first night together, they share a bed, but she forbids him from touching her. The next day, Lucinda and Glen arrive. With both men naked, Lucinda tells Glen to put on stockings. Stella tells John he must obey Lucinda. When he hesitates . . .

There he was, having come to the flat the previous night hoping to make love to Stella, now forced to get on his knees, still naked, before another woman altogether.

The fact that he hesitated before he rose to his feet only angered Lucinda, for immediately he knelt in front of her she kicked him with her foot and he fell over backwards.

"It looks as if he's got to learn a lot yet", commented Lucinda. "If you like, I'll take him in hand".

"Yes, you may", said Stella.

"Then I'll take him to the other bedroom", she told her friend, then indicated to John that he had to follow her.

It was all extraordinary but after an hour or so of her treatment he found himself completely succumbing to her wishes.

It wasn't surprising then that he found himself being forced to kiss their feet, assist them when they took a shower later that afternoon, dry them afterwards, and then help them to dress after being warned that taking the slightest liberty would result in his being punished.

The strength here is the prose, but the 68-page magazine has many photographs and illustrations. Some may have been borrowed from other sources. While they reflect the general theme, few depict scenes described in the text to which they are adjacent.
