Anna slapped him hard across the face. "You must listen, Robert. You must obey me!"

"Anna please!" But it was too late. A strength had developed within her which Robert had never seen. A power over himself that terrified him. He could not refuse to obey her when he was in her presence.

For the next few weeks, Anna dressed Robert every night. She began to use make-up, lipstick and rouge. She even tried setting his hair so it would look more feminine. She saw the change within him, the lessening of those qualities which she so detested. Robert began to grow more feminine, more girlish. In drag, he would sit on the bed with her at night and listen to her speak of men; and speak of her plans for the future which included no men whatsoever. Robert felt confused during this period, but felt that somehow he was helping his older sister.
