In this first-first narrative, Agnes finds herself confined in Dr. Brantleigh's institution because Aunt Esther plans to deprive her niece of her inheritance. Agnes attempts to escape, but this results in her getting restrained in new bondage schemes, as specified by Dr. Brantleigh.

In one sequence, Agnes binds one of her captors and spanks her with hairbrush. But she awakens to the realization that it has been a dream.

Dr. Brantleigh requires that women must wear high-heeled footwear at all times. This functions as an uncomfortable mobility restriction that Agnes complains about.

Some descriptions take the form of dialogue. Here, a fellow captive tells Agnes what she witnessed:

”I saw Helen tie up Kitty," said Janice, as I listened to her drowsily, "and give her an arduous and very stringent chastisement, merely for talking back to her without permission. Helen made Kitty bend over a small vanity table with her head hanging over the side of the vanity table, with Kitty's hands behind her back."

”Helen placed Kitty's hands in a long kid leather arm sheath, which had several straps and buckles on one end, with the bottom of the sheath sewed up like a mitten at the other end," Janice continued. "When the arms were put into the tight-fitting leather arm sheath it was impossible to use one's arms."

"The closed end permitted only small finger movements, " she said, "while the leather strips buckled onto the upper arms kept the arm sheath from slipping down with arm movements. Helen had taken off her nurse's uniform so that it would not hamper her while she was binding up Kitty. After binding Kitty's ankles securely together, Helen then bound Ktty's left thigh to one leg of the vanity table and the right thigh to the opposite leg of the table."

"A rubber ball gag was stuffed into Ktty's mouth by Helen," Janice went on, "to muffle any outcries, and then Kitty was chastised with a hairbrush quite severely. The hairbrush was made of plastic and it stung just as hard as the wooden kind, I'm sure. Kitty certainly did not deserve such a grueling punishment for her slight infraction of the rules, but Dr. Brantleigh had given instructions to all attendants to be very strict with the patients here so that they will be more obedient. The attendants feared that they would be disciplined severely if they disobeyed orders."

"I soon found out that even if I obeyed all orders given to me that I too got the same hairbrush treatment that Kitty received," Janice continued. "That evening when I mentioned casually to Kitty that I'd like to have Sally, the main nurse attendant, in my power for just one hour, then I'd retaliate in a like fashion and give her a thorough spanking. I would place a set of manacles on her legs so that Sally could not get away while I was spanking her."

"However, the maid overheard my remarks and immediately told Sally. I had described how I would tie Sally's hands behind her back with rope, instead of chains or manacles, so that I could pull them aside and thus spank the dickens out of Sally."

Monochrome photographs show pretty models in cone-shaped bras, big panties, waist-cinchers, garters, garter belts, full-fashioned nylons and pumps, some with five-inch heels. An intersection of leather straps that looks like a chastity belt fastened with a padlock appears on two women.

Ropes, leather cuffs, arm sheath, chain and leather straps accomplish bondage. Mid-century beauties are affixed to a bed, kitchen table, vanity table, coffee table, and door. Gags consist of kerchiefs and loose balls.

A house serves as setting, with contemporary furniture. Before the advent of window units, homes and apartments had rectangular air conditioners bolted into exterior walls, and two appear in photographs.
