This illustrated novella of 38,000 words introduces us to young Randy Denning, an itinerant opportunist in Italy. When he first sees Countess Beatrice Gonzaga, she appears to be the opportunity of a lifetime. At her Adriatic villa, his erotic fantasy soon collides with her plan to exploit the handsome young stud as a foil for her sadistic obsessions. She delights in serving a rough diet of teasing, humiliation and pain to her tormented captive.

Lured by the promise of sexual revelry, eager to unmask the erotic secrets of her lush and imperious body. Denning agreed to become her personal secretary, to live under her roof at the Villa Gonzaga, overlooking the Adriatic.
It was here, after receiving his first cryptic warnings of danger, that he met the Countess's three children. There was Isabella, young enough to be a child, old enough to be a hedonistic and nymphomaniacal woman. And Caterina, the black-haired bitch-goddess whose skill with the whip and the lash put her mother to shame. And Pietro, her older brother, a young man whose sexual repertoire included such diverse items as incest and sodomy, flagellation and leather-bound violence.
It was here that the mystery unfolded, the secrets of life at the villa becoming a nightmare of pain and cruelty, Denning's torture and discipline enacted in a hundred different bizarre and agonizing ways. But the inhuman Echoes of Bondage were only the beginning of the web of conspiracy and pain Denning was soon to become frighteningly involved in.
The countess demands that Randy clean her high-heeled shoes with lips and tongue. She expects body worship and whips him when he fails to meet her expectations.
The two daughters and son also find ways to abuse Randy. When he surreptitiously observes brother and sister in incestuous embrace, Caterina takes him over her knee and spanks him with a ruler while Pietro watches.
She dresses him in a suffocating latex tunic and imprisons his genitalia in “a scrotal protector, a ball binder,” covered with stubby spikes. Then, she whips his erection with a garrison belt as punishment for a deliberately mis-characterized accident.
The author uses skillful vocabulary to describe fetish costumes and discipline implements. His flowing prose delineates sexy divas in boots and their steamy indulgences. For example —
. . . the boudoir door opened and the Countess stepped out. Immediately, he held himself rigid and unmoving, his mouth dropping open as he stared at her with what she saw to be complete and total delight.
She moved slowly across the carpeted floor, allowing him the pleasure of viewing her body more uncovered than he had ever seen before. Because now, the Countess had changed into what she felt was far more appealing garb, donning a skintight black and white polka-dotted corselet, a leather waistlet that fit her as snugly as a second skin.
But, what was more, the garment was so fashioned that her over-large melons rested lightly along the top edge of the corselet, while the thick triangle of black pubic hair was completely exposed, her cunt bared and accented by the bottom edge of the leather garment.
From the edge of her wrists to the tops of her elbows, her arms were ensheathed in leather, gloves that lacked fingers, so to speak. These leather arm bands served to complement the calfskin waistlet and to complete the bizarre and arousing costume, she now had slipped into a pair of ankle-high boots, these with the same kind of fashionable platform soles and high wedge heels he had seen her wearing at dinner.
Except for advertising, the ebook contains all content of the paperback, including front and back covers. The readable prose was edited to eliminate grammar and spelling issues, but the author's style has been preserved. The text was reset for the digital iteration.
Sixteen illustrations by the Great Bill Ward illuminate the fast-moving narrative. His ink renders gorgeous female forms in assorted fetish regalia, including lacy lingerie, stockings, gloves, corsets, boots and high heels.
Pictures were optimized on 70 pages, presenting virtual enlargements of figure features, costume details and action. This digital technique is intended to reduce the need for zooming and scrolling.
Most illustrations depict incidents in the story and the voluptuous silhouettes of alluring sadists. As permitted by story content, page sequence was revised to place pictures close to related prose. Not every picture is described by text nor does every scene appear in pictures. But all characters shown in drawings are in the story.
Brightness, contrast, and levels were adjusted. Pictures transposed to ebook format with smooth edges.
