this is the folklore . . .

Mr. Klaw sold publicity stills of feature films at his Movie Star News store in Manhattan. For years, male customers asked for photographs of scenes that showed actresses tied up by villains. It occurred to him that he could sell even more pictures of women bound by ropes if he produced photographs himself.

Maria Stinger in Bondage, Volume Two

In the 1950s, Maria Stinger worked as a pinup model for Bunny Yeager and other photographers. She won contests as a Marilyn Monroe look alike. Her pictures appeared in many “girlie” magazines, including Vue, Focus, Stare, Frolic, and Bold.

This Nutrix book alternates pages of prose with photographs. The text provides descriptive fluff about bondage techniques and paraphernalia, the other models in photos and the attitudes and feelings of those involved. The plethora of details may have but a slight connection with what actually happened.

A house, probably in Florida, is the setting for the bondage pictures. Attractive models in well-fit stockings and high-heeled shoes suggest a professional attention to detail. About half the pictures show two women, and all are named in the text. The photography/lighting, costumes and typesetting are superior to most Nutrix booklets

Furniture and ropes accomplish most bondage schemes, but a few outdoor pictures involve a tree. As in many Klaw publications, some of the undies have been extended or expanded by the application of paint.

The tonality of photographs has be adjusted, and specks and spots have been re-touched.

Although fairly characterized as a digital replica, the ebook format is actually a hybrid, delivering an excellent view of every image.

Some walls and floors have been cropped out of the photos to achieve larger images of the models. The original page sequence has been retained.

The ebook contains all of the original, including two pages of ads for Nutrix products.

Securely Bound in Bizarre Apparatus

The text in this booklet tells a story that the 30+ bondage photos illustrate, approximately. The photographs are clear, presenting an assortment of bondage implements, clothing and outerwear.

The first group of pictures shows a woman in high-heeled boots in a basement. Gagged by an intricate head harness, ropes hooked to the wall, ceiling and floor turn and stretch her limbs in multiple directions. The next series shows a slimmer model in high-heeled boots, black rubber jumpsuit and helmet. Chains and then straps are added. Snapshots in the bedroom involving the head harness and ropes are followed by a model in a black rubber raincoat tied into a handy bundle.

Bonnie, Susan’s guardian, refuses to permit her to marry Art. Susan decides that prolonged bondage will persuade her guardian to capitulate.

An equipment failure allows Bonnie to escape from her restraints and she turns the tables on her ward. The prose does a good job of sketching Susan’s dominant personality, Bonnie’s feelings and the installation of paraphernalia. The correlation of the photography and text disclose care and thought.
