We believe Countess Anne when she characterizes her work on Lashes magazine — an enterprise she accomplishes without assistants — as a labor of love. Although we've also seen her as a model, we appreciate her sincerity and authenticity when she writes about the pleasure she derives from hurting submissives who seek her attention as professional dominatrix.

This issue was published a few years later than other Lashes offered here. Her Splendor appears even more relaxed as she goes about her tasks as paid abuser and humiliatrix in pantyhose.

Photographs pursue two themes. The first considers dildo training, Countess Anne-style (“Love it. Lick it and kiss it.”). Our Countess wears or holds either a beige, black or wood one. Several photos show her young supplicant licking or sucking on one or two, or taking one from behind. At her command, he also licks the crotch panel of her pantyhose.

The second picture set shows Countess Anne using the same compliant slave in the role of Horsie Boy. Here, she wears trousers that look a little like jodhpurs, matching blouse and flat-heeled leather boots with spurs. Bridled and saddled, she sits astride him with a riding crop in one hand and a cigarette in the other.

The magazine includes a short story titled Little, Tiny Man. A Countess Anne enthusiast recorded his dream of being a miniature male used by a beautiful domina. His prose describes pains, pleasures and awe.

Letters from readers provide suggestions for punishment schemes. In one message, a correspondent delivers extravagant praise for his adored female ideal.

Dear, Beautiful Countess Anne,
Your editorial in the Number Eight edition of your wonderful publication is so true, so intelligent, so powerful. Of course a person that commits himself or herself into a life of voluntary slavery is raw material. What else could they be without proper training, proper guidance, proper handling?

The Mistress can crush the ego of the slave and finally bring him into the proper perspective if he really does have the willpower and understanding you mention in your editorial. If the prospective slave has the understanding to realize what freedom really is, the freedom of choice, instead of just giving up what he 'thinks' is freedom, he can truly give himself to the whims of another. The true Dominant, such as yourself, understands this and will do what is necessary to bring out the actual nature of the submissive if somehow he, or she has proven without a doubt that they are worth it.

Once the ego is surrendered, molding the slave to an extension of her will is just a matter of careful training. The desires or "wants" of the submissive do not come into the picture at all. Once the submissive accepts all of the whims of his, or her Mistress, they will certainly be an extension of her mind and will. The mold will form and perfect. It is inevitable.
