Many of our ebook products derive their content from individual issues of magazines. Good magazines yield excellent ebooks and are a pleasure to develop and present. Other issues leave a lot to be desired.

We’ve offered Remix anthologies of Bizarre Life and High Heels magazines. These ebook anthologies allowed selection of what we believed to be among the best pictorials, articles and stories from these two venerable fetish periodicals and offer them as a collection.

The current offering is not based on a single magazine title but on a publisher, Eros Goldstripe (EG). In the same way that he used pictures from photos sets, and even the same page layouts, in multiple Selbee magazines in the 1950s and 1960s, Mr. Burtman used and reused pictures in many of his EG zines. In this way, it really makes little difference that the pictures in Stiletto Lounge originated in various EG titles of the 1970s, as they all realize Mr. Burtman’s taste, vision and enterprise.

The ebook presents the best pictures of the best high-heeled footwear found in Eros Goldstripe magazines in the 1970s and early 1980s. Titles include Boots, Heels and Leather, Expose!, Long Legs & Sheer Stockings, Superior Women, and High Heels. The models wear shoes with heels that meet or exceed a five- inch height minimum and most wear stockings — RHT, FF and fishnet — and hold a whip. They show off shapely legs in opera pumps, D’Orsay pumps, pumps with ankle straps, sandals, platform sandals, and laced ballet toe shoes. Some are also seen in corsets, garter belts, panties, gloves, bras, and other lingerie.

Some are sets and some sets are derived from two different magazines. Most are solos but some involve an obedient male who pays reverent lip service at the madame’s sexy footwear and elsewhere.

The open-ended framework of this collection allows the omission of photos that failed to meet certain criteria:
• pictures must be large enough to appear clear when shown complete
• pictures must show at least one shoe
• If black shoes were shot against a black background, the context must be correctable
• shoes must have heels that are at least five inches tall.

The collection omits small, dark, and poorly executed photos. Instead of selling a complete digital versions of a magazine, Stiletto Lounge culls the best high heel pictures from multiple issues.

The optimized ebook contains more than 270 images. In some cases, an enlargement is shown next to the complete picture of the model or on the following page. Photos have been adjusted and cropped; specks have been re-touched. Many photos are in color. In an attempt to be artistic, some of the original photography is low contrast, shot in low light conditions, or shot on coarse-grained film. Despite some intentionally rough textures, those pictures are included in this volume because the content renders the images ideal for the collection. All captions and titles have been excised; all page layouts have been disassembled.
