Dressed in Rubber, Volume 4, Number 4

The one-shot magazine presents an article about rubber fetishism. While some pages contain only photographs, those pages that contain pictures and prose show it in three languages in three columns.

We recognize many of the pictures as being parts of photo sets appearing in Eros Goldstripe magazine pictorials. Pretty models pose in rubber dresses, bras, panties, bloomers, stockings, gloves, jumpsuits, and a couple of hoods. Many appear in boots and high-heeled shoes. Some hold whips.

The article reports speculation about origins of rubber fetishism in males, guessing about the influence of sleeping on rubber sheets in childhood or playing with toy balloons. The essay contains generalities, but the writer acknowledges that there is little certainty in this area of study.

While transvestites have a history that originates in antiquity, rubber fetishism only dates back to the nineteenth century, when the material was developed and used in raincoats (the Mackintosh). The writer was careful to observe that little research has been done on the subject and few conclusions can be drawn from what is known. He is at his most factual when he says —

Most rubber enthusiasts [maintain] that their pleasure is derived chiefly from the sensuality of the rubber, its peculiar odor and texture, rather than any pain it may generate when rubbing against the skin. This may be true, as whatever pain the rubber fetishist might experience is too slight by the standards of most masochists.

The vast majority of mackintosh fetishists are heterosexual males, a fact that makes it difficult for them to find a female with whom to share their desires. Osborne Ivey, a noted British journalist and playwright, reports that a club for mackintosh fetishists was started near London a few years back.

Although the expectations for success were high at the outset, the club folded due to the fact that few woman showed up. Ivey feels, as he stated in an article in Sexology magazine a while back, that the artistic minded and professional people seem to be the most addicted to this form of behavior. While this statement may be prejudicial, he claims to be able to back it with fact.

The piece includes one case history:

Richard T. is a man who is lucky to have found a mate to satisfy his bizarre sexual tastes. In fact, it is hard to really call a man with so many aberrations 'lucky.' but that is how he terms it himself. It is true, had he not found a woman who herself was attuned to so many forms of sexual variations, he would have been a quite pitiful and frustrated man. As it is, while he suffers from tremendous amounts of guilt and anxieties, he at least has found a way to express his unusual sexual desires.

On any given night. Agnes will have Richard dress up in the special rubberized outfit she had made for him. The outfit is constructed like a long straightjacket. the arms immobilized. There is an area cut out to free his genitals and his buttocks. Agnes then strips, and dons a rubber apron. Then she will put Richard through a series of humiliating rituals. She might have him lay upon the floor and walk on him. She will verbally taunt him, sometimes striking his exposed buttocks with a rubber dogwhip. At other times, she might give him a hot enema, spreading him out on the rubber-sheeted bed. This a-lone is enough to cause Richard to have an orgasm.

Most sessions are topped off with Richard kneeling in front of his 'mistress' and performing cunnilingus upon her. He usually doesn't require any direct genital contact himself to achieve an orgasm, although Agnes sometimes permits him to have intercourse with her on rare occasions.

The ebook contains all content of the 56-page magazine, which contains no advertising. The pages, which are smaller than those of a full-sized magazine, appear in the sequence of the original. Some walls, floor and borders were cropped out.

Multiple adjustments were made to each picture, revealing the gleam and folds of rubber apparel. Most of the pictures in the ebook improve upon the image quality of the printed pages.

Rubber Bondage

The 1980 booklet from House of Milan shows slender models in a sensuous array of rubber garments.
These include a rubber jumpsuit with laced sleeves, loose-fitting rubber bloomer and matching bra, short rubber skirt, rubber dress, stockings, panties, and leotard. A few wear short boots.

The photo collection is notable for its assortment of ornate gags. Beyond ball and tape, some have multiple buckled straps and chin enclosures.

Restraints consist of tied rubber strips, buckled leather belts, leather cuffs, nylon ties, ace bandages, and rope. Ribbons hold one model.

Except for the first names of models, the booklet has no text. Ads for House of Milan products appear on four pages.

The digital replica contains all content of the 36-page booklet, in the original sequence. The centerfold was rotated for viewing convenience.

Brightness and contrast of images were adjusted and shadows reduced. The photos transposed to ebook format with clarity.
