We obtained this publication from a bookseller in France. We believe it's never been associated with Eric Stanton. With an air-brushed cover illustration by Gene Bilbrew and no mention of writers or artist on the inside, it's easy to miss the fact that these drawings are part of the Maestro's oeuvre.
Although there's listing of a series of Marculeta stories about a character named Belinda, neither Family Vengeance or its components appear in the Stanton Archives Catalogue of 1980. The most likely reason for that omission is that Mr. Stanton did not have copies of Family Vengeance to sell at that time.
Style and technique show Mr. Stanton at work with marker and ink, similar to Savage Wife and Don's Degradation. Opulent curves of gorgeous women serve here to trademark these drawings as his. While short on fetish elements, characters wear nylons, garter belts and heels. Three stories develop action narratives, involving infidelity, female and male punishment, and lesbian episodes. Femdom sequences include a strap-on and body worship, but many scenes show straight sex.
One writer composed the first two stories. Perhaps to meet word quantity requirements, the prose repeats details of attire and hair. In the third story, a wife dominates her husband and his would-be date.
Vocabulary employs pornographic diction and colloquialisms relating to anatomy and sexual activity. While text has been edited and re-set for the ebook iteration, it retains original tone and language.
Page two offers story summaries:
FAMILY VENGEANCE 5600 words
In the title story, Family Vengeance, Julie Farrows is whipped, tortured and raped by her husband's business partner, Dick Caston, and Dick Caston's secretary, Ruby Davis. Suspecting Julie's husband, Amos Farrows, of attempting to make it with his wife and force him out of the business they jointly own, Dick Caston irrationally takes his vengeance out on Julie. When Amos returns from a business trip, Julie confronts him with Dick's brutality and his own supposed infidelity, only to find out from Amos that the whole thing was plotted by Dick's wife, Evelyn, and Ruby Davis, Dick Caston having been the innocent dupe of the two wicked lesbians. Evelyn had indeed been cheating on her husband, but not with Amos, rather with Dick's secretary, Ruby. Grabbing a revolver and a whip, Julie hurries over to the Caston house to expose the sinister Evelyn and Ruby and to settle the score with Evelyn for her duplicity.
PUNISHMENT SEMINAR FOR NAUGHTY WIVES 8600 words
When George Manners discovers that his beautiful wife, Susan, is cheating on him with his ace salesman, Bill Carter, he contacts his cousin, Sheila Gorr, an amazon-ian lesbian, asking her assistance in not only punishing his errant wife and her paramour, but also in helping him get into bed with Arlene Carter, Bill Carter's sexy young wife. In pursuit of vengeance, George Manners learns that once one unleashes his primal urge for revenge, very few are spared the lash, and even the victimizer is liable to become the victim.
BELINDA'S NIGHT OF SHAME 5600 words
Belinda, normally a woman of sterling virtue and discretion, was surprised with herself the night she went home with Bill after having met him only hours earlier in a Greenwich Village bar. But Bill, quite a Casanova, had a way about him that made him irresistible to women. When Bill brought the lively pickup home, he found, much to his surprise, that his wife, Sandra, had not left town as she had planned. Sandra, a six-foot blond dominatrix, took extreme measures to punish her husband and the less than guilty Belinda.
With white, matte paper, Family Vengeance has proportions of a full-sized magazine. Unlike Stantoons booklets, which had unpleasant graphic properties due to reproduction on copy machines, the magazine was printed on an offset press, with ink, not toner. Thus, the ebook development process begins with a clear original.
Three of its 48 pages contain advertisements for Eros Goldstripe products and are omitted in the ebooks.
Careful correlation of pictures and prose suggests that images were crafted based on a reading of the text. A few pictures depict scenes that are not mentioned in the stories.
As possible, illustrations were placed near text that describes them. To accomplish close alignment of pictures and prose, some pages have both. In this pursuit, some text-only pages contain but a few sentences and many pages show only art.
Brightness and contrast of images were adjusted for clarity. Pictures transposed well to ebook format with smooth edges.
All new scans.
The optimized ebook page size was expanded for this volume to exploit large pictures in the paper publication. Tasty fetish details — such as action and figure features — appear on separate pages as virtual enlargements, reducing the need for zooming and scrolling.
The product includes a second optimized ebook, containing only art. Mr. Stanton's 40 dynamic pictures are optimized on more than 100 ebook pages.
Enlargements of illustration details expose the energy and artistry of a productive 20th century illustrator who understood the appeal of sexy women. The ebooks express appreciation and respect for his talent at showing fantasy hedonists at play.
