As Leonard Burtman closed the book on his Exotique in New York, Irving Klaw started a magazine of his own in New Jersey. Unlike most Nutrix booklets, which presented one story for 60 pages, Pleasure Parade collects an assortment of prose pieces, in a digest-sized magazine of 92 pages.

Three of the prose pieces are in the form of letters, but they function as fictional narrative. Texts explore bondage, wrestling, discipline, dominant women, and high heels, and are illustrated with photographs and drawings from 1950s comic serials.

CONTENTS

Forced Into Becoming A Pony Girl

Fun At Bondage Haven

Will Spanking Halt Delinquents?

Ancient Egyptian Human Sacrifices

Letter From A Dominating Woman Fan

Public Punishment Of A Cheat

Bound Upside Down On Cross-Sticks

Tied To The Furnace

Vickie Thrashes Fighting Bully Girl

Girl Captive Of Mountain Bandits

Art by Mory, Gene Bilbrew, Adolfo Ruiz, and Peemiller illuminate stories. A few pictures from Eric Stanton's early Poor Pamela, shown without dialog balloons, accompany Tied to the Furnace. But text identifies the artist as “G”.

Photographs posed by professional models show leather-gloved spanking, boots, female domination of a man, and women tied to wood frames.

The 1959 booklet served as source material for the ebooks. Authenticity of the copy used is confirmed by Nutrix Company advertising on inside covers and a lithographers union bug (logo) on page 12.

Brightness and contrast were adjusted, shadows reduced and many specks re-touched. The ebook provides a viewing experience superior to that of the original.

The digital replica contains every word and picture in the booklet, including advertising. in the original sequence. Some pictures were cropped at top and bottom — excising empty floors, walls or furniture — to present characters at full-size.

All new scans.

A second ebook consists only of photos and drawings. A B & G (= bound and gagged) illustration occupies the back cover. More than 20 other low-resolution B & G drawings were added to the pictures-only ebook.

Mr. Klaw cobbled together photos and illustrations from diverse sources to depict scenes in stories he wrote and edited. For the first time, this obscure relic of 1950s fetish literature is available in digital format that brings new clarity to old pages.
