After the death of Mr. Klaw in 1966, his sister Pauline sold about 70 sets of flats to Ed Mishkin, who had been a prolific publisher of controversial adult materials since the early 1950s. Flats contained the films with which offset plates were burned. Mr. Mishkin was publishing Mutrix booklets in Jersey City, at the time the flats were delivered, and 70 of his Mutrix titles were second printings of Nutrix booklets. This item shows Nutrix on the title page and Mutrix on the front cover. Since advertising offers Candor (not Mutrix) products for sale, this could be a third printing.

In Volume Six, pretty Betty Page is seen restrained in more than half the photos but takes control in others. A skillful poser who understood how to position her instrument for alluring results, several pictures do a nice job of showing off those wonderful thighs, legs and ankles.

The models appear in stockings, held in place by either garter belt or garters, pumps, bras and panties. In a few pictures, Betty appears to be dressed in tight rubber garments. In others, she's blindfolded.

To avoid conflicts with postal authorities, Mr. Klaw often had his models wearing three pairs of panties. The intent was modesty and plausible deniability of obscene nudity.

Miss Betty and her shapely cohorts are attached to table, hassock, wood frame sofa, horizontal pipes, and each other. In most photographs, they are fixed in place by ropes, but other devices also appear. In some pictures, captives are stifled by scarves and ball gags.

Betty often holds a hairbrush when spanking. According to the text, Miss Betty is accompanied by Peggy Raye, Lili Dawn, Betty Cushman, Jonnie Wilson, Pat Cellors, Ruth, and Joan.

About half of the original 60 pages are text, the others monochrome photographs. The prose describes photo shoots, paraphernalia and physiology, but not necessarily of the nearest picture. Some of the text promotes other Klaw products, such as photo sets and films.

The ebook includes all booklet pages, including ads, in the sequence of the original. Pictures were placed without enlargement or reduction, but some furniture, walls and floors were cropped out to obtain a more convenient file size.s

The tonality of photographs has been adjusted, specks and streaks retouched, and shadows reduced. Photographs with a horizontal orientation have been rotated to appear appropriately in the ebook.

Most photographs transposed well to ebook format, with smooth gradients and sharp edges. The digital iteration provides a visual experience that is superior to the old paper.
