In Darlene's Revenge, Walter takes Darlene over his knee for alleged negligence. She seeks counsel from Marianne, who knows exactly what to do. One article claims that kinky parties have become more popular than wife-swapping. At these bizarre events, the losers of contests are stripped, spanked, and humiliated in front of everyone present. A piece about the sensuality of high heels explains that sex appeal motivates their design and deployment. Fetish photos and illustrations prove the premise.


Three works of fiction span varied interests.
• Miss Marchant’s Diary of Discipline is a lengthy piece that describes how painful spankings with cane and strap enforce discipline in a girls’ school. In the second episode, Miss Marchant discovers Elizabeth cheating during a test. Elizabeth asks for punishment in lieu of expulsion, and her teacher enjoys the accommodation. In the classroom, Miss Marchant takes her student across her lap for a hand spanking. They adjourn to her bedroom for a noisy session with a wide leather strap.

• Part Two of “A Call to Skirts” is a first-person narrative about a young man who enjoys the look and feel of feminine attire and introduces fetish-wear to his sister. The story is illustrated by a set of small photographs, only roughly related
to the text.

• A fine Gene Bilbrew illustration introduces Hitch Hiker in Leather Boots. Co-workers Carol and Jo pick up Lily and invite her to spend the rainy weekend at their cabin. There, Lily trains them to walk in boots with extremely high heels, and spanks them with a belt with they err.


One of the nicest features of this issue is an abundance of excellent illustrations by Messrs. Bilbrew and Stanton. In addition to the fourth episode of Sweeter Gwen, six pages present an assortment of fine (some look like covers) Stanton drawings, including the six he did for Escape into Bondage. Mr. Bilbrew's contributions consist mainly of his sexy boot and shoe designs.


Every word and picture in 100-page Bizarre Life, 4, is included in the digital replica in the original page sequence. Some page layouts were revised to obtain a better presentation of images, reducing empty margins and eliminating some superfluous ornament.


The tonality of photographs and illustrations was adjusted and many specks retouched. The digital replica provides a viewing experience superior to that of the printed magazine. All original scans.
