Mr. Klaw advertised Juno's Girl Warriors Capture Rome in his Nutrix Revised Bulletin Number 10 in February 1959. It's likely that he wrote the narrative text that fills two squares at the bottom of each chapter. The top of each sheet has two or three picture panels.

Chapter 1 presents this fabricated myth:

Juno formed her own army of gladiators who swore allegiance to her only, and only those who, tall and strong of arm, believed in the adage "to the victor belongs the spoils" were allowed to take up arms in her behalf.
Since they needed slave labor to do the menial chores of the girl gladiators who were too busy fighting Juno's battles to do the lowly work themselves, the weaker girls were inducted into Juno's army to wait on the stronger girls. They had no choice in the decision to serve Juno's girl warriors.
The husky warriors under Juno's command had dreams of laying siege to the important city of Rome, which was heavily armed. Laying her plans carefully, Juno had her warriors capture some of the high officials' slaves so that she could extract bits of information they may have heard their masters or mistresses talking about. In this way, Juno could figure out the best way she and her warriors would set their plans to capture Rome.

Text explains instances of misconduct as pretexts for punishment of slave servants and rebellious warriors. Only a few paragraphs and panels depict combat.

Jim's comic panels show slender captives in high-heeled sandals twisted, stretched, compressed and immobilized by complex bondage contraptions. Equipment includes chains, cuffs, assorted gags, rods, ropes, weights, pillories, stocks, and padlocks.

The consistent thickness of Jim's lines suggests that he used something like a Rapidograph pen to render his curvaceous damsels in ornate bondage. He probably used brushes to add shading and highlights. His precise delineation of bodies in constraints shows muscled flesh bulging beside tight straps and ropes. Captives' faces show understandable anguish and outrage.

The digital replica presents the 12 chapters complete, as laid out for the photo printing process. The original prints had the title at the top of each 8” x 10” sheet and the chapter number at the bottom. This text is removed in the ebook to show each panel as large as possible.

An optimized version presents only Jim's illustrations. Each panel appears complete, followed by enlarged details of bondage devices and figure features. The optimized ebook shows 90 pictures on 90 pages, configured to reduce the need for zooming and scrolling.

Seven of the 12 chapters were derived from new scans. The other content also presents well. Brightness and contrast were adjusted, yielding images with better clarity than the originals.

This product was developed with care and respect for Jim's mid-century artistry. The ebooks offer an excellent view of his unique fetish erotica.
