The Transsexual Phenomenon
The magazine begins with a photo-illustrated essay about transsexualism, distinguishing it from transvestism. Transsexual pioneers Christine Jorgensen and Renne Richards are admired, psychology discussed.
Photographs present a sultry she-male in lace negligee and nylons who often fingers his substantial male aspect. Other photos are from the second set in the Dominating Hedonists ebook. A graceful transsexual in stockings and waist-cincher sexually dominates her submissive male.
Bound and Dressed
“To her regular clients, she was known as Mistress Sandra. Men from all walks of life visited her regularly, seeking the services of one of the world's premier dominatrixes. And, they were never disappointed.
“She was a master in the art of domination. Her perfection had led her into an inevitable state of boredom. Only a radical experiment with a macho stud could relieve her malaise!
“But for the beautiful and cruel minister of pain and bondage, the life had become routine, almost boring. The element of surprise had disappeared. Each and every one of her clients knew exactly what to expect from her, and she always delivered. For Mistress Sandra, the uniqueness of her profession resided in the fact that change and alteration of sexual needs, and expression of those needs was the foundation upon which her pleasure was built. As of late, she had experienced little pleasure.
“The test would be a simple one, performed on a one to one basis with an innocent. Sandra would not force herself onto her victim, but would feel out the subtle indications that the victim desired her ministrations. As always, Sandra resorted to force only as a symbol, as an outward dispaly of the true psychic power which she possessed.
“She knew who her victim would be. She had seen him twice before, delivering liquor for the store around the corner. He was tall, macho looking and was, without a doubt, of very straight sexual appetites. He was the perfect man for her to test her skills on, the perfect victim.”
When John walks into her apartment, he finds sexy Sandra in a leather dress and knee-high boots, holding a cat o' nine tails. After he kisses her boots, she removes all his clothing. He sees the negligee Mistress Sandra wants him to wear. When he declines, she buckles his wrists to a belt at his waist.
She shaves his mustache, applies lipstick and eye make-up, installs a blond wig. Next, he's dressed in black bra, garter belt, nylons, sling backs, and the negligee. When John is feminized, Mistress Sandra shows enthusiasm for the part of him that's still masculine. She says, “It is the tool of pleasure and no longer a male thing.”
The Transformation of John
“Out of the closet and into the world of cross-dressing, where the sexual games change and the perspectives redefine pleasure. For John, the transformation had been a sudden and electrifying bolt, a surprise and a shock.

The photography was orchestrated in a professional studio with good lighting. Tonality of photographs was adjusted, shadows reduced and many specks retouched.

Copious prose accompanies the images, describing the grandeur of the dominatrix and the mix of feelings John feels as Joanna. While the narrative sometimes exaggerates, the prose here is better than average for 1980 magazines.
