In the 1970s, Eros Publishing Company launched the Bizarre Books series with diagonal Eros Goldstripe ribbons on covers. The series featured male domination and female domination themes, often with forced transvestism and fetish rituals, usually illustrated by a gifted artist.
Cravings of the Flesh
When Warren's wealthy brother Charles disappears, he visits the Dumbarton estate to investigate. He finds Enid, Charles' sexy wife, and her two promiscuous teenagers, Vicki and Lewis.
All are occupied with deviant sexuality. Enid's sadomasochistic appetites have urged her daughter toward domination games and her son to transvestism. Enid draws a target on Warren's chest and assails it with a whip.
In a few scenes, Vicki teases Uncle Warren. Flaunting her bare curves excites the man, but she denies him satisfaction. In one episode, she rides him in an equestrian tableau.
In one scene, Enid spanks Lewis while Warren listens at the bedroom door. Later, dressed en femme, Lewis punishes Uncle Warren with chains and whips, assisted by dominant sister Vicki.
The introduction ends with these words: “Tortured and sexually abused, Warren still refused to give up. But when he discovered the real truth behind THE DUMBARTON CURSE, the solution to the mystery was even more horrifying than the pain and torment he had already been forced to endure.”
The text has been completely re-set for the ebook version. Few changes were made to the carefully-crafted prose. 38,000 words.
The ebook shows the covers and all content of the paperback book, except ads. Tasty fetish features of the 12 dynamic images by the Great Bill Ward are repeated, enlarged, on separate pages. Illustrations depict some incidents in the story and grand female figures of dominating characters. As permitted by story content, page sequence positions each picture close to related prose, but not every picture is described precisely. About half the pictures relate to events in the story. Many events in the prose do not appear in the pictures.

Discontinuity between the narrative content of prose and pictures suggests inattention to production quality. For example, text on the back cover, which typically summarizes the story inside, describes another tale with different characters. Despite misalignment of scenarios, the strong femdom theme in words and illustrations develops a satisfying reading experience.
The kinky beauties in high heels who function as protagonists in the scenario are typical Bizarre-Books sadists who pursue male humiliation. The ebook offers a convenient mechanism for enjoying this relic of 1970s fetish culture.

The story begins with John Benson meeting Erotica Dubere on the day she interviews to be his secretary, and admiring her tight leather gloves. The text reveals her thoughts and his response to her: “She was ecstatic when she saw that the title of a small leather bound book that lay on the desk read, Chastisement. Ah-ha-a-a-a . . . in one minute's time I discover that not only does my prospective boss have a deeply embedded fetish for leather, no man would have such a thorough knowledge of kid-skin unless he did have, but also he's interested in chastisement, my life's blood, my hang-up. . . . The lavish display of magnificently developed figure, black nyloned limbs, and her exquisitely gloved arms, were driving him wild, and Erotica reveled in it.
“She thought that he would go for her over-sized teats, so desirable in their taut encasement of shimmering black satin, most men did. But his fetish for leather was more powerful than his obvious interest in her gigantic breasts, and he fell to his knees before her, and grasping a gloved arm firmly, began to lick his way upwards over the scented kid.”
To Erotica's delight, John announces his craving for painful punishment. In conversation with her friend Rita, the favorable circumstances are described. When he visits their house, two leather-clad beauties collaborate in his bondage and discipline. They capture a peeping intruder and enforce painful penalty for his trespass.
Sixteen all-ink illustrations by the Great Bill Ward display his female ideal, in high heels, long gloves and corsets. Complex coiffures, laces and ruffles ornament his grand divas in shiny nylons.
