In words and photographs, the Premier Issue of Violent Adventure tells three tales that unfold at the Countess's House of Fantasies. Two involve married couples who want to improve their sex lives and introductory text teases with “the Countess prescribes her cure.” These stories express one of Mr. Burtman's favorite erotic themes — mental health through sado-masochism. [For more on this subject, see SKU: #482.] The last story involves a woman who wants to try lesbianism.
A deluxe magazine of 100 pages, it features sexy Eros Goldstripe models we've seen in issues of Unique World, High Heels, and Whip n Rod. They dress in leather, garter belts, taut hosiery, thigh-high boots and pumps with five- and six-inch heels. Although the original doesn't have perfect correlation of prose and pictures, only close collaboration between publisher, editor, writer and photographer could have achieved this level of co-ordination.
We can speculate that this focused effort to produce photo-illustrated fiction (more like a graphic novel than fumetti), continues the smaller budget publications Mr. Burtman produced as many as 15 years earlier with booklets such as Bandit in High Heels, Battling Babes, Portrait of Evil, and Man into Maid.
In pursuit of narrative precision, the Premier Issue even has studious captions (not vague Eros Goldstripe picture blurbs) that describe each photo-tableaux. That's a lot of work. And a lot of expense, when adding up the cost of three or four models per story, a total of 25,000+ words, and an original
cover painting. It seems like somebody wanted this publication to be a good one.
More than a year later, Violent Adventure Volume 3, Number 3, consists of only 64 pages. Although it has three stories, only one of them shows proper costumes, and that femdom tale is included in this product.
The House of Fantasies advertises itself as an establishment that facilitates resolution of sexual problems and helps people realize sex fantasies.
Bizarre Ritual pictures on 40 pages
Walter wants to dress as a woman and be dominated by his sexy wife. Janice is uncomfortable with his fantasy until Olga gets her into a tight leather dress and thighboots. In make-up, a curly wig and fishnets, Walter cuts a fine figure of a woman, and Janice is not averse to using a whip on him. At the end of the story, husband and wife find they have commonality as they caress and canoodle on dungeon straw.
Lessons in the Lash pictures on 70 pages
Before she married Johnnie, Carol enjoyed dominating men. Johnnie wants his wife to dominate him in the bedroom, but Carol has concerns and inhibitions where he's involved. When the Countess takes charge, she orders Johnnie (Jamie Gillis?) to lick Olga's thighboots and then Carol's leather-clad thighs. Seeing him on the dungeon floor and counseled by experts, Carol whips, sits on, spanks, demands body worship from and pokes boot heels into her husband.

Kathy seeks sex with women and Olga seems pleased to give her all she can handle. Stripped down to panties, garter belts, stockings and high heels, the sensuous sweethearts kiss, fondle and more in the bedroom while the Countess watches. When, at her direction, they adjourn to the dungeon, tables are turned on Olga, who's bound and beaten. The Countess and Kathy coalesce on a blanket, and Kathy gets in touch with her dark side at Olga's expense.

Carl's Lessons in Humiliation pictures on 35 pages
Exhausted Sharon is dropped off at Michelle's house. Expecting Carl to arrive, she sets a trap, and catches him in gross misconduct with drowsy Sharon. She slaps him out of the bedroom and then gives her guest the intimate attention she craves. Afterward, she installs cuffs, chains and a gag on Carl and whips him. Her fun is interrupted by the unexpected arrival of Gretchen, who doesn't need much justification for whipping people. Gretchen's legs look extra fine in sheer nylons and shoes with six-inch heels.

These four stories were probably composed by the same writer. The vocabulary is needlessly vulgar and there are far too many adverbs and adjectives, probably because he or she was paid by the word. Most of these rhetorical factors remain in the ebooks to retain the tone of the originals.
In certain places in the text, wordiness was reduced and tenses changed. Some dialog and descriptions were revised or added to more closely align prose and pictures. A few paragraphs were excised because they didn't relate to any photograph. None of the captions are included in the ebooks because they generally repeat the text. As possible, in the ebooks, each picture is positioned near text that describes it. To accomplish this, some pages hold a small amount of text. Most pages contain both text and a photo.
As the words Violent Adventure constitute the name of the magazines that provided source material for this product, stories contain gratuitous punishments. Dialog includes nasty epithets, dramatizing anger and contempt between characters.
four optimized ebooks
The optimized versions are designed around pictures, not magazine pages. Each image is positioned on a separate, wide ebook page, and fills the screen from top to bottom. Fetish details, such as action, stockings and footwear, are shown enlarged, beside the complete image or on another page.
In the original, a few photos are small (three inches in height). The smaller pictures are included and a few may show soft edges. The ebook organizes each set of images in narrative progression, observing costume consistency as possible.
Brightness and contrast were adjusted and many specks retouched. In a few cases, filters were applied.

A rare 1970s artifact, Violent Adventure offers a banquet of femdom imagery and scenarios. For those who enjoy scenes of sexy vixens hurting men and other women with assorted punishment utensils, the classic content will invite frequent inspection. Those with special interest in nylons, gloves, garter belts, tall boots, and high-heeled shoes will discover clear images of pretty models in fetish finery. The original publications were of exceptional quality for their time. The edited, optimized ebook presentation improves on that good work, making it all easy to see and keep.
