Mr. Burtman didn't always have the cash to pay for the printing of magazine content he developed, and often sold publication packages to other publishers, such as Unique, Health Knowledge, Bilife Publications, Bizincorp and Consolidated. Packages included everything a publisher might need to print a magazine, and allowed space for advertising. For these, he received a fee and copies, which he, in turn, sold to raise cash for other publishing projects.

Fans of high-heeled footwear generally think the higher, the better. Heels are seldom too tall. In this edition of High Heels magazine, mules worn in photo shoots max out at about four inches. Higher heels and boots show up in series of one or two as photo-illustrations for an essay and in snapshots in the letters section.

Full-fashioned stockings, kept in place by well-adjusted garter belts, appear in most pictorials. The now iconic graphics of full-fashioned hosiery, snugged tight against the intriguing architecture of shapely limbs, winks from luscious thighs and well-turned ankles on page after page. If this magazines had the word leg or stocking in its title, leg and stocking fetishists would be pleased with it.

The issue trumps up a theme related to summer travel, beginning with Denise Monet in Paris. She shows us her thighs in hose while thinking on the front seat of a French convertible.

Cover cutie Velma Hawkins show us exactly what her legs can do for stockings in her living room. A waist-cincher with six garter straps keeps her seams straight.

In London, we see a photo shoot at Gigi's studio, where she aims her lens at lovely Vicki, who holds a riding crop while posing in FF stockings and strappy mules. Fortunately, Gigi wears long stockings and heels while focusing on her model's legs.

Liz Angler cruises in an odd, bottomless panty. Posing against animal prints, busty Sabre goes on safari. Cheerful Lolita Moreno shows us her stockings and mules at home.

As is typical of High Heels, some of the best shoe pictures are amateur snapshots in the letters section, often from husbands. An essay that considers the question of whether high heels are a fetish or a fashion presents an assortment of photos of women in boots. One short story, introduced by a Gene Bilbrew illustration.

The tonality of photos has been adjusted and spots re-touched. Page sequence has been revised to achieve continuity of prose pieces. Some page layouts were revised to show pictures without reduction in size. The digital replica has all the content of the 72-page original, including ads.

All new scans.
