In the way that the Bur in Burmel Publishing and bee in Selbee Publishing refer to Mr. Burtman, either the first or second B in B. B. Sales Company probably refers to Mr. Burtman. The magazine has the graphic style, proportions, paper, printer’s ornaments, borders, and iconic Bilbrew clip art and nameplate routinely found in Mr. Burtman's magazines.

Issue Two collects diverse themes and several photo sets we haven’t seen before. Seven pictorials announce lesbians.

— Lesbian Love a Trois
A blond and two brunettes embrace on the sofa. Only two of them make it to the bedroom.

— Bondage and the Beauty
Two actresses engage in fake bondage and fake spanking in a real living room.

— The Art of Love
Artist and model evolve into something more than they expected.

— Keep the Man Down
Kim and Kris subdue Don, then cuddle in the dungeon.

— Cure for Gals
Nurse and patient comfort each other in bed with sweet kisses.

— Girls in Love
Three pictures of a couple in stages of undress.

— Turnabout is Fair Play
A job interview becomes a kinky liaison.

fiction
A TASTE OF DOMINATION – “She was strong-willed until she met a strange blonde girl. Then she was taught a lesson in submission by female punishment.” Introduced by a Gene Bilbrew illustration not seen anywhere else.

THE WICKED LENS – “Behind the lens of her camera, Lucretia could be a wicked photographer. She imprisoned her models and turned them into her slave studs.” Introduced by a Gene Bilbrew illustration not seen anywhere else.

articles
The Untold Truth about Wife Swapping – Although the text is about promiscuity and punishment, a few nice photos show heterosexual scenarios.

The Lesbian in Film and Print – Half of this promotes the Leonard Burtman movie Satan in High Heels and another Burtman product. Prattles about literature old and new, movie trends.

Clothes and Sexual Stimulation – Instead of promoting modesty and chaste thoughts, the wearing of clothing provokes curiosity about what it conceals and draws attention to bodies. Quotes Hurlock, Freud and Flugel. Some small photos of women in unusual leather accessories.

The Lashes that Lacerated Britain's Back – A methodical account of Britain's notorious John Profumo spy/sex scandal. Includes pictures of principals Dr. Stephen Ward, Mandy Rice-Davies, Mariella Novotny, and Christine Keeler. [The 1989 feature film Scandal tells this sensational story well.]

other
A pictorial of pretty Patti Rogers shows her topless in white fishnets, black garter belt and suede boots.

One page of advertising.

Filler photographs that are not parts of articles or pictorials.

Like many magazines published by Mr. Burtman, front cover and back cover pictures relate to nothing inside. The pictures are used because he already paid for the color separation films, a money-saving tactic. In this zine, that practice gives us two splendid color booklet covers, painted by Eric Stanton at his best.

The digital replica of the 72-page magazine presents all the words and pictures of the full-size original. The sequence of pages was revised to accomplish continuity of two prose pieces. The tonality of photos was adjusted and many specks re-touched. Some margins were reduced and page layouts revised to obtain larger pictures. All original scans.

The strange mix of lesbianism, scandal, wife swapping, and female domination of men yields a peculiar assortment that can’t be categorized. Pictures by Messrs. Bilbrew and Stanton add visual value.

Many models wear stockings and garter belts while they canoodle, fondle, smooch and caress. It’s fair to say that little, if anything, expressed here about lesbians (or anything else) is true. In a way, this publication reflects the confusion, chaos and
innocence of those tragic, crazy times.
