The two ebooks that comprise this product are seldom-seen relics of 20th century publishing. They are offered here mainly for their obscurity.

Diabolique, No. 3
A magazine named Diabolique should have photos of women who look sexy, worldly and dangerous. While the models in Diabolique, No. 3, are consistently pretty, their lush curves and relaxed demeanors render them ideal as cheerful pinups. The most devilish touch is the eyebrows penciled on flirty Valerie Jeanne, who appears in a lacy robe in some of her pictures.

Among the prettiest here is famous stripper Blaze Starr. A shapely brunette, we see her on the beach, in and out of a bikini and capri pants.

A lovely redhead, Sheika Moser shares her ample assets with us on the cover, the centerfold, and many other pages. Unfortunately, her legs are clad in tights that obscure.

Other pages are filled with the charms Crystal Carter at home and Lena Martin in and around a backyard swimming pool. These women may give readers a lot to think about, but there is no fetish content here, a betrayal of the title, also found in Satana.

Carlson Wade contributes two prose pieces:
• “The Changing Face of Beauty,” illuminated by some expert Gene Bilbrew drawings that do an excellent job depicting eyes, noses, lips and hair.
• In a effort to show us what they look like, “Those Magnificent Breasts!” is illustrated with many pleasing photographs

Other prose is a silly essay by Betty Edwards called “Dance of Death,” accompanied by photographs taken at the beach. Drums, chants, snakes, skull-toting women and The Great Womba collaborate to relieve a hex. Victoria Stuart’s short story, “The Intruder” is introduced by a nice illustration. Her prose has more fetish material that all other content combined. Also, some nice incidental illustrations by Messrs. Stanton and Bilbrew.

The large-format ebook is a close digital replica of the 60-page original. The page sequence has been preserved and all advertising is included.

Masquerade in Leather, F-4
In size and content, Masque [see product #476] was the intended successor to Exotique in the early 1960s. Mr. Burtman abandoned the series after a few issues and developed full-sized zines (e.g., High Heels, Striparama, Bizarre Life) instead. As Exotique spun off titles like Personality Series, Lace Me Tighter, and Males in Leather, Masque magazine also spawned photo fiction.

In a series of photographs, Masquerade in Leather describes a slender scenario about two urban lovelies who change from street clothes into sexy leather costumes. Without a word, we see a sequence that discloses the undressing and dressing of one and then other attractive woman.

We are lead to believe that they love leather clothing. We see them in high-heeled mules and boots, leather jodhpurs, a laced leather vest, a leather dress, and leather gloves. In a few pictures one holds a metal-tipped riding crop and they both smoke cigarettes. It’s all about curvaceous gals in leather attire.
