A petite beauty with sexy countenance, Jennifer Jordan gave us a body of work that delineates a fierce living room diva, as both a mean bitch and angry avenger. Not a dominatrix, who provides services for customers for a fee, she shows off in complete fetish attire, usually holding an implement of punishment. She demonstrated what a woman might look like if she were engaged in forcing a man to lick her boots.

The New Adventures of Sweet Gwendoline works as photo/fumetti, a fiction piece densely illustrated with photographs that depict gestures in the written narrative. More than half of the 120+ pages have pictures, some two. About 15,000 words.

The premise relates to secrets and spies, who tie Gwendoline to a chair to persuade the beauty to disclose information. Pictures also show two women fighting, guns and whips. The male models don't matter and neither does the plot, which has reversals, a superfluous love scene not shown in pictures and a last-minute rescue. Like The Return of Justine and other Cold War fiction of the sixties, the narrative aims at suspense with spies in peril, but photography develops the main value here.

The espionage tale intends a pretext for pretend torture of shapely models in fetish attire. In The New Adventures of Sweet Gwendoline, Ms. Jordan dominates in one scene but is bound and hurt in others.

Pictures show JJ in her own pumps and leather corset and an attractive brunette in shiny, knee-high boots with five-inch heels, long leather gloves, and a garter belt. Both pose pretty legs in long, snug stockings and are also seen in leather dresses.

It appears that all photography was accomplished in Mr. Burtman's New York apartment, most in the foyer behind the front door. A good job of lighting avoids unpleasant shadows and capably presents two curvaceous divas and their seamless hosiery.

The tonality of photos was adjusted and spots re-touched. Some of the photographs permit precious fetish details, such as boots, legs and corset, to be repeated next to the complete image or on the following page. All original scans.

The text has been completely re-set for the ebook version. Editing changes only a small amount of spelling, punctuation and vocabulary.

Most pages contain one of the 70+ pictures and some text but some hold only a photograph. The optimized ebook makes the pictures easy to see and all the pulchritude easy to enjoy. It's a clear look at a younger Jennifer Jordan, the model who became a dominant fetish icon in the 1970s and 1980s.
