The Painful Humiliation of Sidney
Although the publisher's city does not appear under its name in The Painful Humiliation of Sidney, the inclusion of advertising for products in Cleveland, Ohio on the inside covers strongly suggests the involvement of Ruben Sturman. The 32-page booklet was printed on three kinds of paper. The cover on semi-gloss card stock, the outer pages on clay-coated paper and the inner pages on plain bond. This last paper decision pursued economy.

Characterizing his own fair share of apartment clean-up as “woman's work,” Sidney refuses to comply with cousin Dina's reasonable request. The towering woman overpowers her small roommate, and forces him to dress in her lacy panties, black stockings, and later, an apron.

She shows him a hair brush and riding crop and takes him over her knee for spanking. The statuesque brunette gags him, uses him as a foot stool and ties him with rope.

Although shapely Dina wears panties, stockings, garter belt, pumps and lacy bra, her most fetishistic accessories are long leather gloves. Sexy and sultry, many pictures show her with an imperious countenance.

After publication of The Feminine Mystique in 1963, many American couples had lively conversations about household responsibilities. The Painful Humiliation of Sidney dramatizes one scary outcome of such dialog, a masochist fantasy with transvestite elements. The male's arrogance and sexism may justify corporal punishment, but dressing him in stockings and panties discloses the sadist in the indignant female: she enjoys hurting and humiliating him.

The digital replica presents everything in the booklet in the original sequence, including two pages of ads. Text was composed on a typewriter.

The cover announces 32 new photos and while that may be correct, some are clustered four-to-a-page. The ebook repeats the four-to-a-page photographs after the back cover, but there one to a page.

The brightness and contrast of photos were adjusted and some specks retouched. All original scans.

This slender piece serves as an important relic in the archeology of femdom erotica. Although undated, costumes and curtains suggest a 1960s origin. The paradigm expressed in this bold work appears to predate any comparable story in Mr. Burtman's oeuvre (e.g., in Bizarre Life magazine) by several years.

Subordinates, Volume One
As we never see enough pictures of women punishing men, this product includes a small original anthology, culled from several 1970s and early 1980s zines with femdom orientation. Some of the models and photo sets constitute familiar Eros Goldstripe fare, with a couple of other sources involved.

The optimized ebook of 60 pages presents pictures of women giving men the discipline they need, occasionally followed by enlargements of action details or fetish features.

All original scans.
