A magazine of generous proportions, Nylon Party appealed to men with an interest in undies, legs and hosiery. Eighty full-sized pages deliver 11 pictorials, some with two models.
Most pictures show women wearing dark RHT stockings, held in place by a garter belt, but one wears tights and another wears light, open mesh stockings.
Picture sets fill three, four or six pages. While most were staged in apartments on beds and couches, settings include a backyard clothesline and a patio ping pong table. Marla Bronson, Joan Case, Sophina Larne, Sara Manning, Hilda Williams, Petula Evans, Fanny Coorman, Marcella Jacs, Sheri Bonet, Polly Walsh in white sneakers, and others present attractive pin-up credentials.
Pictorials are separated by hard-hitting articles that tackle urgent subjects like Maids in Uniform, America's Married Swingers and The Undies Go-Round, with a few pictures of old-fashioned lingerie. Nylon Party Line shares fluff about Hollywood personalities, mini-skirt terms and Linda Thorsen's style on the Avengers television series.
Detours in the Tunnel of Love collects a set of dialog-driven jokes about romance and dating. Party Gags presents more jokes and a few cartoons. Two short stories, each introduced by a painting.
The professional photography shows good direction, maximizing the value of assets in front of the lens. Competent lighting avoids unpleasant shadows. As was common for figure magazines of the 1960s, some pictures have been sprayed with an air-brush to emphasize contour.
The digital replica contains all the content of the original, including advertising. Some page layouts were revised to obtain larger pictures on ebook pages. The original sequence of pages was changed to achieve continuity of prose pieces. Picture brightness and contrast were adjusted; specks and blemishes re-touched. All original scans.
