Published at irregular intervals during the 1960s, Satana implied content it seldom contained. This 72-page issue consists of photographs of pinup models from both sides of the Atlantic.
While many stockings and garter belts appear, few pictures show shoes. Some of the best heels and corsets appear in filler photos, which look like they originated in Exotique products. Pictorials of Renee Duval, Carol Aguirre, Sandra Bromley, Donna Scott, and Ronnie Caldwell.
For Mr. Burtman, Satana means disarming feminine allure that renders men helpless. Women use their charms to control and degrade their counterparts, and their ability to do so far exceeds the destructive power of men. In the Satana trademark, flames refer to Hell, horns crown the lovely devil, and restate his fascination with fantasies titled Satan in High Heels and Deadlier than the Male.
“Devil from Denmark” names the pictorial exposing zoftig Ronnie Caldwell. Pretty, corseted Renee Duval is dubbed Siren in Satin. Afflicters with alliteration. Get it?
In pursuit of the theme, an essay by Carlson Wade discusses Females: Devils in Skirts. Illustrated with a few photographs and Bilbrew drawings, the essay names notorious women, their orgies, cruelty and whips. A subtitle reads, “A rogue's gallery of vicious vixens! Beautiful, captivating, these sisters of evil became ghoulish fiends . . . enslaving helpless men in a web of lust.”
The letters pages are called Epistles to Inferno. A flurry of flames surrounds Mr. Stanton's sexy, tailed icon in pumps and long gloves, who serves as logo for this magazine section.
A full-page Eric Stanton illustration introduces The Lady in Leather short story by Lee Garamond. An episode of his Satana comic serial fills one page with four panels.
The ebook contains all content of the original, including advertisements. The sequence of pages was revised to achieve continuity of prose pieces. Some page layouts were modified.
The photographs reproduced well. Retouching and tone adjustments improve on the print version.

The nameplate promises sexy divas whose intoxicating appeal brings men to their knees. Instead, curvaceous cuties in various stages of dishabille flirt while reclining on sofas and beds. With its girlie magazine content, Satana presents sweet pinup pulchritude with friendly smiles.
