During the 1970s, Eros Publishing Company launched the Bizarre Books series with diagonal Eros Goldstripe ribbons on covers. The series included male domination and female domination novels, often with forced transvestism, usually illustrated by a gifted artist.

At a hotel in a wealthy neighborhood, Stacy O'Keefe plans to steal precious paintings and antiques from the famous St. John estate. Soon after he meets Anita St. John, she's in his hotel room having him dress in a maid uniform. He accepts her offer of employment as a means of perfecting his heist scheme, but sexy Anita, and her regal mother Millicent, use the would-be thief for their own twisted entertainment.

Unaware of O'Keefe's criminal ambitions, the mother and daughter team wreak extreme cruelty on their employee, often using fiendish devices invented by Millicient. She hurts him with a paddle with dozens of sharp little nails, painfully restrictive rubber garments, a wheel of dildos, proximity to a lit furnace, whips, and cats. They bind him and demand body worship. Ropes, chains, cuffs, a bridle and head harness deliver a nasty assortment of torments. When he flirts inappropriately with the au pair maid, she knees him in the groin. Then, Millicent spanks him with a long, pliant ruler.

She also has fun using a riding crop to spank their resident college student for his trespass. Excited by sadistic rituals, she demands sexual treats from the males in her employ. Anita giggles when men suffer and enjoys scratching flesh with
the spikes of her boots.

O'Keefe's irrepressible lust for the two voluptuous sirens amplifies his physical anguish and the vile degradations he's forced to endure. Their self-indulgent cruelty amuses them and inflames their own sexual appetites.

The demonic beauties always wear high-heeled shoes or boots, stockings, corsets and gloves and usually force the captive into similar fetish garb. He experiences this forced feminization as humiliating insult, but his costumes often cause physical discomfort.

Except for advertising, the ebook has all the content of the paperback volume, including the color cover and back cover. While later Bizarre Books volumes were published with 12 ink drawings, Taught to Obey has 16 illustrations by the Great Bill Ward. Tasty fetish features of these voluptuous images are repeated, enlarged, on separate pages. As the ebook shows images as large as possible on monitor screens, it functions as an optimized version on 50+ pages.

The narrative does a good job of describing the vicious attitudes of the women and how they enjoy abusing their prey. For those who enjoy reading about sadists who play with helpless men, Taught to Obey delivers an enjoyable read with tasty details and sex scenes.

Illustrations depict incidents in the story and the grand female figures of the alluring sadists. As permitted by story content, page sequence was revised to position each picture close to related prose, but not every picture is described nor does every scene appear in pictures. The author, artist, editor and printer worked conscientiously to produce the excellent Taught to Obey volume in 1972. There has never been a better mechanism for enjoying this rare femdom fantasy.
