The first installment shows Siobahn Frederick as the author. Although part two is anonymous, the writing is intelligent enough to be his. The prose brims with references to fabrics, textures and scents as letters recount Blanche's sensuous episodes of discovery while a student in Paris around 1910.
In letters to his sister Ethel in London, Blanche tells of encounters with the Countess de B***, an ultra-voluptuary who introduces him to a varied menu of sexual permutations. Taken with Blanche's loveliness, the Countess first partakes of forbidden lesbian delicacies. When she learns of his randy appendage, she arranges to spoil pretty-boy Blanche in ways that keep him returning to her palatial home for weekly rendezvous as her transvestite lover.
The rosy prose refers to tickling fingers, burning kisses, dainty finery, exquisite sensations, and splendid fun. Costume details include gloves, stockings, tights, corsets, chemises, high heels, lingerie, and lace-trimmed drawers. Superfluous quotation marks surround anatomical euphemisms.
First-person narratives provide candid descriptions of sexual experiences. The correspondent discloses how the feminine lingerie and clothing, their tightness and softness, tantalize and arouse the man within the transvestite.
The booklet includes five lyrical illustrations by Gene Bilbrew and several photographs of a transvestite. While they are not directly connected to the story, the sexy drawings depict tableaux that are similar to those explained in the text.
The tonality of text and picture pages was adjusted for legibility and clarity. Except for advertising, the digital replica presents every page of the reprint in the original sequence.

The title page announces that this volume reveals the secrets of how men become female impersonators. Of the people to whom we're introduced, only one works as a performer.
The first we meet entertains audiences at hotels and cabarets. Bobbie Paris achieves an attractive illusion in stockings and high heels. At the photo shoot, two of Bobbie's friends, Tina and Mitzi, also pose in female garb. They change costumes, which include dresses, a slip, stockings and high-heeled pumps. Except for singing at drag parties, these two only dress as women at home. Both are also shown in male clothing.
We meet Paula P. from England, who acts in female roles in plays put on by the local drama club. Donna C. shows us her dresses and mink coat. He has visited special cellar nightclubs in Germany, where impersonators chat with the audience between shows.
Appearing in dresses, Sandy Mae has overcome his shyness and now purchases his undies unabashedly at the lingerie counter. Louisa B. traces his cross-dressing habits back to his childhood, when his mother would force him to wear girls' clothes as punishment for misbehavior. As a man, he has come to enjoy the coolness of silken undergarments.
The text pays attention to underwear, lipstick, makeup, wigs, fabrics and footwear.
The original volume has more than 30 photographs of guys in drag at home. Some wear dresses while others show off in stockings, undies and heels. It appears that most photographs were taken around 1960.
The ebook is a close digital replica, duplicating the page sequence of the original. Tonality was adjusted to achieve clarity, but edges are soft. All the content of the original is included in the ebook, including two pages of Nutrix advertising.
