In the 1970s, Eros Publishing Company launched the Bizarre Books series with diagonal Eros Goldstripe ribbons on covers. The series featured male domination and female domination themes, often with forced transvestism and fetish rituals, usually illustrated by a gifted artist.

While dominant females may take charge of institutions or families in erotic fiction Bitch in Rubber integrates both modes with dramatic results. Barbara persuades husband Barney to vacation in Nassau without disclosing her intent to visit premises of The Society of R(ubber) there. The pretty wife recently discovered her love for rubber garments and corresponded with Society chief Mavis about her unsatisfying marriage and exotic ambitions.

To make things worse for Barney, he behaves badly, which further separates his wife. On the morning after arrival at their plush island hotel, Barbara is whisked off to Society headquarters, and he wakes up without a wife in the bedroom.

At the luxurious villa, Barbara meets young Linda, who enjoys wearing rubber on the beach. There, she experiences the ecstasy of lesbian caresses for the first time and Linda seems always eager for more.

Mavis enjoys whipping men and has a resident who lives there to satisfy that yen. When Barney intrudes to take possession of his spouse, Mavis whips and humiliates him and keeps him in a cell.

The story mixes vivd episodes of sex and punishment ritual. While all female characters enjoy whipping and otherwise tormenting Barney, they're not averse to use him for pleasure, too. Some scenes depict enforced footwear and body worship.

The text has been completely re-set for the ebook version. Few changes were made to the detailed prose. 45,000 words

Except for advertising and picture captions, which are inaccurate, the ebook has all content of the paper book, including covers. Illustrations repeatedly show rampant male enthusiasm (sheathed in stretched jockey shorts) for lovely females in sexy rubber attire and high heels.

Tasty fetish features of the 12 dynamic images by the Great Bill Ward are repeated, enlarged, on separate pages. The ebook shows pictures on more than 30 pages, which provides the visual experience of optimized presentation.

Illustrations depict some incidents in the story and grand female figures of dominating characters. As permitted by story content, page sequence was revised to position each picture close to related prose, but not every picture is described precisely. Some pictures do not relate to events in the story. Some events in the story do not appear in the pictures.

Brightness and contrast of images were adjusted. All new scans.

Events are conformed to present scenes of wanton sensuality with clear fetish elements. The carefully-crafted prose and rubber theme render this volume an exceptional entry in the series.

The dominating beauties who function as protagonists in the scenario exceed typical sadist characters in their hedonist demands and connections. The story even has a happy ending. The ebook offers the most convenient mechanism for enjoying this rare artifact of 1970s fetish culture.

We received some incomplete Hilbarth volumes illustrated by Bill Ward in early 1970s. As they are incomplete, we won't use them for standalone ebooks.

That the books were damaged doesn't change the quality of the work by a skilled 20th-century expert in ink. An optimized volume collects available pictures from Revenge of the Wantons and Beat Me in Leather. The first of these shows men being cruel toward women. The second is a mix of male and female meanness. All pictures show Mr. Ward's female ideal, most in high heels and long gloves with many corsets.

The optimized ebook presents each picture complete, followed by virtual enlargements of fetish treats. About 25 full-page illustrations appear on 80 wide ebook pages. Due to conscientious production and good quality paper used by Hilbarth for these magazine-sized illustrated-fiction books, the images here are bright and clear.
