In the Selbee iterations ofFemale Mimics magazine, we meet men who entertain professionally, singing, dancing and telling jokes on the stages of cabarets. In the second issue of Female Mimics showing the Eros Goldstripe ribbon on its cover, we find an additional ingredient: heterosexuality. The pictorial is advertised on the cover: EXCLUSIVE COLOR FEATURE > MIXED-UP AFFAIR.

The picture sequence begins with what looks like two brunettes, in heels, stockings and leather, chatting near the front door of an apartment. After they move to the living room, they canoodle on the sofa. Their caressing leads to undressing, and we discover that the taller of the two beauties has an uncircumcised bonus. Lots of smooching, touching and feeling in stockings and garter belts.

In front of the bar at Mr. Burtman's New York penthouse, we're introduced to Jenifer, a long-legged blond with buoyant pony tail and implants. In pumps with five-inch heels and a studded patent leather bra and panty set, she demonstrates the length of her whip. After changing into stockings and corset, she shows us a collar and leash. If we saw these photos in Bizarre Life, we would assume that she was one of the sexy fetish females for which that magazine is famous. A squib tells us of J's successful career on the burlesque circuit.

The remainder of the issue presents excellent photographs of men showing off their femininity backstage and onstage. In some ways, this issue is like many issues of Bizarre Life magazine, with printing on two kinds of paper, a short story, photography in Mr. Burtman's apartment, and pictures taken at a cross-dresser's ball.

The first pictorial shows us the dressing room of New York's 82-Club, where entertainers get ready to perform. Many are pictured onstage in fringes, feathers, chiffon, satin, and lamé.

Two features present glammed-ups party-goers at impersonation events. Saul Segal and Frankie Quinn hosted the Variety Club's Thanksgiving Ball. Lovelies of all sizes and descriptions expose their feminine side in glittering dresses with lots of frills. At Dayzee Dee's Thanksgiving Ball, participants paraded in a rainbow of fabrics and styles in what looks like a costume contest.

After Robin Roberts poses provocatively poolside, he goes indoors to put on makeup, hosiery, foundation garments and wigs. Then, he displays his feminine curves in a tight, glittery sheath, long gloves and matching boa.

A photo album of made-up faces and figures, Queens in Drag is pictures 20 female impersonators in their work clothes. In Hawaiian Honies, we meet a pretty brunette in a pants suit who changes into stockings, corset, gloves and boots. We see Dale Roberts backstage, adjusting his wig, applying makeup. Ebony Temptress Carol poses in furs and pantyhose in her apartment.

A cross-dressing night club performer is the first-person narrator of The Tough Transvestite short story. He tells of knockout experiences with both men and women.
