Photographs in Bizarre Life, Number 7, expose assorted fetishes:

rubber fashions from London
tattoos
furs
women in bondage
swimming pool drenching (with an essay that explains it)

In three pictorials, women get spanked. Lars spanks Lila for failure to accomplish household chores. Mark takes secretary Linda over his knee at the office when she goofs-off. Madame spanks her pretty maid.

One lengthy pictorial shows blond British beauties Terri (Martine) and Enid dressing themselves in sexy shiny leather, stockings and boots. Another set presents burlesque diva Lonnie Young in tights, furs, shiny dresses and lace-up boots. In several pix, she introduces us to her whips.

Fringes, ruffles, furs and feathers adorn friendly party animals at the second annual Paris in the Spring Drag Ball in New York City. Transvestites compete for prizes and female impersonators sing at the grand ballroom of the Hotel Diplomat.

The cover shows the glamorous woman we know as Jennifer Jordan, but the blurb inside calls her Jeanne Burton. Apparently, she acted in a film called In Heat, and the magazine discloses stills from the femdom dungeon scene. [In the titles of the movie Satan in High Heels, producer Leonard Burtman, who later married Jennifer Jordan, calls himself L. Burton.]

Stockings abound in Photos from Readers, but boots, leather, stockings, furs, and rubber also appear there.

Letters from readers explore diverse subjects. Writers discuss female domination, the pillory, the lure of rubber, masks, high heels, and boots, and praise Bizarre Life magazine.

Three works of fiction span varied interests —
In Never Leave Me, Lisa and Bette do a lot of kissing at a secluded cabin. Then Rex shows up, bullets are fired and he's dead. Introduced by a fine Gene Bilbrew illustration.

Miss Marchant’s Diary of Discipline is a lengthy piece that describes how painful spankings with cane and strap enforce discipline in a girls’ school. In the fourth episode, Cathy visits Miss Marchant's office to receive punishment for “terrible conduct.”

A roommate recently displayed the inflamed consequences of Marchant discipline to Cathy, and the girl trembled as she watched the headmistress writing in her journal. Miss Marchant delivers several series of spanks, first on hands, then on bare bottom by hand and with a long paddle.

• A descriptive Gene Bilbrew illustration introduces To Be a Slave, which begins with Cliff's recurring dream about being scissored by a beautiful woman in a wrestling match. He meets superb Sarah in a bar and she challenges him to fight, the winner using the loser as her slave for the weekend.

Every word and picture in 100-page Bizarre Life, 7, is included in the digital replica in the original page sequence. Some page layouts were revised to obtain a better presentation of images, reducing empty margins and eliminating some superfluous ornament.

The tonality of photographs and illustrations was adjusted and many specks retouched. The digital replica provides a viewing experience superior to that of the printed magazine. All original scans.

The optimized ebook offers the best way to see the images. All but the smallest pictures fill wide optimized pages from top to bottom. Dark photos are clearer in the optimized version, providing an opportunity to see images concealed in ink on paper.

Photographs were sequenced to show reasonable progression. Illustrations are collected at the end of the ebook. More than 180 brightened pictures are organized in a convenient fetish album, designed to reduce the need for zooming and scrolling and anticipate the curiosity of the viewer.

With its deliberately wide spectrum of subjects, this issue wants to offer something for everyone. Fans of fetish attire and discipline themes will enjoy the two ebooks based on this alternative lifestyle magazine from 1968.
