All ebook products consist of .pdf files.

Ebooks can be opened in any program designed to open .pdf files or any browser.

Many products consist of multiple files.

Purchasers have 30 days to download the files they paid for.
Files may be downloaded up to seven times.

In your account File list, "0/7" means you haven't downloaded your file.

digital replica

A digital replica presents magazines in a page-by-page format.
With a few exceptions, pages in the ebook look like the pages
of the magazine.

Sometimes, page sequence is revised to obtain continuity of
a pictorial or prose piece.

A fiction or non-fiction book can also be a digital replica,
but sometimes the type is re-set for the ebook.

optimized ebooks

The optimization technique was developed to exploit
the shape of screens used to view .pdf files.

Most magazine pages are vertical rectangles.
Most screens are horizontal rectangles.
When a vertical page appears on a screen,
a lot of the screen is empty.

Some magazine pages can contain multiple pictures
and those images will appear small on screens.

Optimization disassembles pages and places each picture
on a separate page. Optimized ebook pages are
shaped like screens — horizontal rectangles.
Individual comic strip panels may be separated from each
other and placed on separate ebook pages. Virtual
enlargements of picture elements may be repeated to
facilitate visual appreciation.

Photographs and illustrations may be optimized.
