Fearful Ordeal in Restraintland was one of the first Nutrix booklets Mr. Klaw produced after moving operations from New York City across the river to Jersey City. It's an obscure morsel of mid-century curiosa. We knew nothing of its existence before 2022.

All models wear high-heeled footwear. The maid appears in opera hose.

Wealthy Madame Algonnia collected so many instruments of punishment and restraint that her friends called her mansion Restraintland. When Juliette visits, Madame Algonnia offers to buy her stock certificates. But Juliette was advised by her husband never to sell them.

To persuade Juliette, Madame Algonnia and maid Yvonne seize Juliette and put her in bondage. Ropes are wound around the ankles of her thigh length leather boots and her gloved wrists. She gets roped to a stool and gagged.

When Madame Algonnia threatens Juliette with a riding crop, she decides to sign the transfer papers and accomplish a stop claim after she's liberated. Papers in hand, Madame Algonnia leaves for the bank. Before she arrives there, she realizes it will be closed, and returns home.

While she's gone, Juliette asks Yvonne to allow her to change out of the uncomfortable thigh boots and into knee boots. During the transfer, Juliette overpowers the maid and binds her to a post.

Just as Juliette gets ready to escape, Madame Algonnia re-appears and has her captive untie the maid. Madame Algonnia carefully gags and ties Juliette with her arms behind, and has her lie on a couch.

Because Yvonne had made a bad error in judgment she had to pay the penalty of being punished and Madame Algonnia was quite rough in binding Yvonne's wrists behind her back. The ropes cut in deeply into Yvonne's flesh turning her arms blue from lack of circulation.

The poor servant began to think to herself just what she had done that was so bad that she had to be placed into bondage. The more she thought about her plight, the madder she got at her mistress for tying her up for something that was not her fault.

As Madame Algonnia applied more cord to Yvonne's elbows pulling them tightly together in the small of her back, Yvonne grimaced with pain, shutting her eyes to keep back the tears of pain. Yvonne grew more angry by the second at Madame Algonnia's harsh treatment of her in applying the ropes on her arms above the elbows for Juliette had not pulled the ropes as tightly as Madame was doing when Juliette had bound Yvonne.

Angry thoughts of possible retaliation against her stern mistress flitted through the maid's mind as Madame Algonnia continued on with the bondage. . . . She told Yvonne to lay down on the floor so that she could tie Yvonne's ankles securely. Yvonne meekly obeyed for she was afraid to antagonize Madame Algonnia any more than she already had. Yvonne also feared that the Madame might apply more drastic measures than the disciplinary action that she was now doing to her.

Yvonne lay prostrate on her stomach as Madame Algonnia had instructed and waited for her mistress to finish tying her up. Yvonne was beginning to feel uncomfortable and numb from the ropes and hoped that Madame would have a change of heart and release her in a little while and forgive her for almost letting Juliette go free. As Juliette was still a captive Yvonne thought that since no harm had come to Madam e's plan that Madame should not be so harsh on her.

The more Yvonne thought about it, the madder she grew at her mistress for subjecting her to such extremely uncomfortable bondage, especially since Madame Algonnia tightened up the ropes now causing her much pain at the wrists and elbows.

There was no let-up on Madame Algonnia's part as she unmercifully kept up with her stringent rope bondage on Yvonne as a means of discipline for Yvonne to be more careful in the future. Little did Madame Algonnia realize that by her unwarranted harsh discipline of her maid Yvonne was making Yvonne so enraged to the pointed where she was seriously thinking of joining forces with Juliette in order to get back at Madame Algonnia.

There was no way that Yvonne could release herself and she had to stay bound and gagged until the next morning when Madame Algonnia released her to prepare breakfast. Still burning up inside at Madame Algonnia, Yvonne meekly went about her duties trying to think of some way to get revenge on her mistress.

Muttering under her breath at Madame Algonnia, Yvonne put a clean cover over the couch and this brought to mind the fact that Juliette could be a good ally for Yvonne to team up with. Yvonne thought that with the aid of Juliette, the two of them could overpower Madame Algonnia and give her a dose of her own bondage.

The more she thought of the idea the better she liked the idea of joining forces with Juliette for Madame would not like to have Yvonne around as a witness against her should Madame's plan fail.

Yvonne broached her plan to Juliette who was still bound and gagged awaiting her fate. Juliette seized at the opportunity of getting Yvonne to help her overpower Madame Algonnia when Yvonne removed Juliette's gag so that she could agree to Yvonne's plan.

Juliette told Yvonne to unbind her quickly and give her the gun which Yvonne had received from Madame Algonnia. Swiftly, Yvonne untied Juliette and gave her the gun and they both crept silently up on Madame Algonnia catching her completely off guard.

The Madame had not thought that the stupid maid would turn on her and prove to be her undoing. The startled Madame Algonnia gave up readily when she saw the menacing gun in Juliette's hand. Madame Algonnia knew that Juliette would be very glad to use the gun on her, so she promptly obeyed Juliette's command to seat herself on the high stool. Her eyes flashed in bitter hatred at her former maid who had betrayed her.

Yvonne thrust a white handkerchief in Madame Algonnia's mouth at Juliette's request and happily went about binding Madame's wrists behind her back as Madame Algonnia sat nervously on the stool. . . .

In the shop where the booklet was printed, paint was applied to photographs to show folds in leather and fabric. Thin white lines define the edges of some leather gloves.

The ebook presents all content of the booklet in the original page sequence. Some empty margins, walls and floors were cropped out. Many specks were re-touched. A few pictures were enlarged to fill pages.

Brightness, contrast and levels were adjusted and shadows reduced. Image editing improved the clarity of every picture.
