What are “Tweens”? When one character in the story calls them “men,” another defines the word this way:

”They're In-Betweeners! Tweens we call them. Big-breasted gender-spanners . . . somewhere between the sexes.”

The story begins in a law firm owned by two partners, Roy and the first-person narrator. They hire gorgeous women as paralegals to keep clients coming back. Except the paralegals aren't quite women.

One night, Tina invites Roy and her boss to her and Susi's apartment to prepare for a costume party.

I worked late, and by the time I got to Tina's, she & Susi were dressed in Leather right down to their pointy, high-heeled Toes! But I thought it was just their "costumes"! Then Roy came mincing out, looking dreadfully embarrassed in a leather mini-dress! I told myself, It's just for the Party!

“Roy," Susi addressed my cross-dressed partner imperiously, "We'll call you Ruby tonight! Now come kiss me, you sweetie - Let's see how quickly you Learn!”

Roy swished up, stepping daintily in his hampering high heels and tight, short skirt to kiss Susi. Then, to my surprise, he dropped to his knees and kissed her feet!

In this trans-sexual fantasy, the partners are given beverages that result in them developing large breasts. Both text and illustrations emphasize that they have modest male endowment.

As Tina led me to the Bedroom to begin my costuming, I stole another peek at Roy and Susi. There, under the folds of Susi's elegant leather skirt, Roy's head bobbed rhythmically while she sighed and drank deep from her cup.

"Do you find that shocking?" Tina asked sweetly.

"Uh, No." I tried to recover my composure and figure out what was wrong with that picture as Tina led me off to be costumed. . . .

Tina finally settled on a "costume": A tight, tiny mockery of the outfits we made her wear at Work!
