The cover and title page claim the theme of Eyeful magazine is “Glorifying the American Girl.” Blurbs beside pinup photos exclaim admiration and desire for the pictured women. Text often provides measurements, age and geographic origins. Many comments take the form of advice, directed to the male reader, who's referred to as Pal, Joe and Sam.

Many of the models are burlesque entertainers and sometimes pose in onstage glitter, feathers and fringe. Other models appear in panties, bras, and lingerie. One young lady appears in undies, cowgirl hat, and cowgirl boots, holding a six-gun. Most photos show some kind of hosiery — fishnets, full-fashioned, patterned — held in place by garter belt or garter. Heels max out at about four inches.

Two pages are titled “G-Strings over Broadway,” filled with photos but no g-strings are shown. There's plenty of enthusiasm.

THEY'RE the hottest zings, on Broadway this season, pals, the torrid toasts of the Big Town! Grab yourself a ringside table and gander these queens of quiver who are the hot shots of the hot spots! And if you live outta town, Joe, run don't walk to this White Way thighline!

It's hips-hips-hooray time, Joe, as our cuties swing and sway the torrid way!

Ads offer deals on hand tools, weight reduction products, social clubs, printed material, complexion improvement, and appearance-enhancing briefs for men. Programs promise to teach how to be a detective, read finger prints, hypnotize, do well on army tests, draw, develop a clothing business, and be attractive to women.

Our copy of the magazine is 70 years old and the pulp paper shows its age. We accomplished many digital repairs at edges and corners.
