Fighting Mud-Cats
The artist works in ink and produced a comic that discloses ability to achieve his objectives in several graphic modes. While Mr. Marculeta's style differs from Mr. Stanton's work, their women are similar: voluptuous, big, sensuous and strong.

The story is set in a Louisiana swamp and centers on a movie director named Ford. He's supposed to be with Marta, but he can't keep his hands off blond Lola. These two women, large and powerful, fight over him, splashing the muddy water of the swamp. Two men show up to kidnap Ford, but the women overpower them. Then, Toni appears and pins Marta in a wrestling match. But Lola interests Toni in some girl-girl affection and persuades her to join the three of them. At a strange movie preview, a nurse wrestles a patient and Toni defeats a man in a gorilla suit.

The optimized ebook disassembles the pages, each holding as many as five comic panels, and places each scene on a separate ebook page. Some drawings are enlarged slightly, made possible by re-positioning dialog balloons, often next to the picture. Most of the drawings appear as line art and transposed well to the ebook. Tonality adjustments improve the clarity of pictures for the digital iteration. For those who enjoy Mr. Marculeta's fearless females, the digital iteration offers the best vantage for watching them fight.

Phan Male
Although this work is unsigned, the seven pictures disclose Eric Stanton's superb pencil work. The drawings show a sexy beauty straddling a man, holding his wrists to the floor.

A letter addressed to a friend accompanies the pictures, and describes the pin-downs. The woman in the drawings follows her friend's advice about finding a man and training him to work as a servant. He thinks her can defeat her, but she always winds up on top.

To transpose subtle shading in the Maestro's illustrations to electrostatic copies, a screen was imposed on the art. The copy-machine product shows images consisting of dots. Image adjustments reduce graininess and enhance contrast. Out of respect and appreciation for the exquisite character shown, few modifications were made to the lines and shading.
