The back cover of Servant Problems provides this oblique summary:
"SERVANT PROBLEMS" tells the exciting story of what happens when a cruel dominating housewife imports an innocent young British girl to be her maid. The girl is subjected to fantastic and exciting bondage, and forced to perform menial chores in the most difficult ways. She is exposed in bizarre costumes before the haughty friends of her cruel Mistress. In a wild fight of belligerent rebellion, the maid defeats her mistress and forces her to take the place of the enslaved maid in a surprising switch of roles. When the husband of the house comes home unexpectedly, there is an amazing ending.
In the first episode, mean Mrs. Barnett attaches pretty Elsie's wrists to a lacing bar and cinches her into a tight corset. Seamed stockings, leather panties, and leather bra complete undergarment installations but an elbow-strapping body harness provides additional discomfort.
With only an apron covering her fetish regalia and in pumps with six-inch heels, Elsie is required to function as maid. Sexy Mrs. Barnett always finds new tasks for her hampered housekeeper in painful uniform.
When friends of the mistress visit for lunch, they have access to the maid for pinching and spanking. It appears this arrogant coterie has dominated servants as well.
After a period of adjustment, Elsie learns how to accommodate her employer's unreasonable demands, but resents her own exploitation. On a day when she's asked to perform massage on her mistress, Elsie makes her move. A fierce wrestling bout ensues and Mrs. Barnett experiences a taste of her own discipline.
The unnamed writer does an excellent job of describing tasty fetish details and horrid predicaments.
She articulates wrestling holds, the tightness of restraints, the height of heels and the sting of slaps with clarity. Colorful villainess dialog ads menace to early scenes.
Fourteen precise pencil illustrations by the Great Gene Bilbrew illuminate the professional prose. The original and the ebook disclose the abrasion of lead against textured paper. Brightness and contrast were adjusted.
Each drawing is first presented complete with rectangular border. Virtual enlargements of fetish details and figure features are repeated on subsequent pages.
Most illustrations closely align with scenes described in the story. As possible, pictures have been re-located in the optimized ebook to achieve closer alignment of text with scenarios presented in images.
A second optimized ebook contains 45 pages of pictures.
All new scans of the original booklet.
Mixing fetish, domination and wrestling themes, and with 14 new illustrations, Servant Problems was an exceptional Satellite product. This rare artifact of mid-century erotica has nearly disappeared from the planet. Optimized ebooks preserve all the fantasy hyperbole for 21st century appreciation on mobile screens.
