A young college student, Bart applies for a TV job he finds in the classifieds. At the personnel office, he meets Miss Marble, a beautiful young blond and Miss Lynch. She interviews her good-looking applicant, often using the expression “TV work”, which Bart understands as something connected with broadcasting. The multiple meanings of TV occupy a lot of dialog.
Eventually, Miss Lynch dresses Bart in women's underwear, hosiery, dress and sling-backs as part of the candidate evaluation process. He confesses that he enjoys the experience and approves of his new look.
The Mutrix (New Jersey) booklet was probably published in the late 1960s and reprinted by Wholesale Book Corporation (New York) about 10 years later.
The text of volume one is punctuated by eight fine Gene Bilbrew illustrations. In this work, we see a true master at the peak of his skills, rendering graceful feminine forms and finery in ink.
Although his pictures do not precisely coincide with details in the prose, they treat us to some tasty scenes between a girlish man and lovely women. Indeed, these delineations of gender blending set a brilliant standard, seldom surpassed.
(Note: The cover does not depict a scene from the story.)
The writer describes everything, using the oblique vocabulary the era. When Bart's excitement prevents him from fitting into the silky blue panties Miss Lynch hands him, she recruits competent Miss Marble to make his “manhood . . . subside.” Produced on a typewriter, the story takes its time arriving at the dress-up sequence, creating small suspense on its way. Lots of attention to colors and textures.
The digital replica contains all content in the booklet, including two pages of ads by Wholesale Book Corporation. The original has a page sequence error that the ebook corrects.
