During the 1970s, Eros Publishing Company launched the Bizarre Books series with diagonal Eros Goldstripe ribbons on covers. The series included male domination and female domination novels, often with forced transvestism, usually illustrated by a gifted artist.

Soon after mild-mannered Eliot Dunlap moves into a Manhattan apartment, he hears strange noises from the unit upstairs. When he investigates, he meets roommates Candy Hawkins and Amanda Butler, currently engaged in torturing a moaning man on their living room floor.

They soon invite him for cocktails and begin a diabolical regimen that alternates punishment and pleasure, soon reaping his capitulation to their perverse designs. The sexy sadists have an assortment of pain-inflicting utensils — whips, crops, belts, dildos, hoods, cuffs — that they skillfully operate to hurt Eliot.

After they apply all the torment his body can endure, and he's wondering why he allows himself to be used so cruelly, they surround the horny young man with the luscious treasures of their flesh. Then they exploit his substantial talents and endowment to satisfy themselves and give him a measure of sensuous satisfaction.

Their fiendish discipline disorients Eliot, and he accepts degrading torments he never imaged. His lust for the two voluptuous beauties keeps him returning to their lair of pain, always with the hope that the two dominatrixes will make visits worthwhile by allowing the innocent target access to their spectacular bodies.

These beautiful demons wear high-heeled shoes or boots, stockings, waist-cinchers and gloves. In the last chapter, he wears a feminine maid uniform while he serves and services guests. Compared with the degrading torments they force upon and into him, the costume is little more than an inconvenience.

Except for advertising, the ebook has all the content of the paperback volume, including the color cover and back cover. While later Bizarre Books volumes were published with 12 ink drawings, Women of the Whip has 16 illustrations by the Great Bill Ward. Tasty fetish features of these voluptuous images are repeated, enlarged, on separate pages. As the ebook shows images as large as possible on screens, it functions as an optimized version on 50+ picture pages.

The narrative does a good job of describing the vicious attitudes of these taunting women. They enjoy abusing their prey and using him to satisfy their relentless sexual appetites. They are drawn as competent villains who employ a clever program of disorienting experiences, causing confusion and rationalization in Eliot, developing his inner masochist. For those who enjoy reading about sadists who play with helpless men, Women of the Whip delivers an enjoyable read with nasty punishments and sensual sex scenes.

Illustrations depict incidents in the story and the grand female figures of alluring sadists. As permitted by story content, page sequence was revised to position each picture close to related prose, but not every picture is described nor does every scene appear in pictures.

All original scans. Female nudity.

The text has been completely re-set for the ebook version. Editing changes spelling and punctuation. Many superfluous words and phrases were eliminated to relieve redundancy, and achieve a faster read. In so doing, the original prose of about 38,000 words was reduced to slightly more than 34,000 words.

The author, artist, editor and printer worked conscientiously to produce the excellent Women of the Whip volume in 1973. There has never been a better mechanism for enjoying this rare femdom fantasy.
