Whip Sisters presents an exceptional volume in the Tortura Press novel series. Although names are likely contrived, other novels name the author. This book does not. We can speculate that the writer of this steamy tome avoided identification because the creation of erotic prose was a daring expedition for her — an unfamiliar world of rhetoric, diction and vocabulary. Also, prose quality reads superior to other products of this publisher. With 10 superb Bill Ward illustrations, it's possible he was the author.
We're introduced to an urban clique of gorgeous hedonists who abuse men for pleasure in their secret loft. “The Whip Sisters . . . were an independent gang of sadistic thrill-seekers that operated on the perverted fringe of society. The girls who were members of The Whip Sisters came from all over the city, from every walk of life. During the day the girls were secretaries, advertising copywriters, models. They worked in stores, beauty parlors, banks, large corporations. They all seemed perfectly feminine and normal. But, when they got together at night as members of The Whip Sisters, they became dangerous, ruthless and perverse.
“Many of the victims of torture at the hands of The Whip Sisters never reported to the police what had happened. Other victims did go to the police, but the police could not trace the gang.”
When Marilyn, Paula and Dotty have three bound males secure in the club's warehouse apartment, they hear, “We're going to torture the three of you . . . you're not going to get your hands free . . . you can't get out of here. You're locked in.” The women use straight razors to liberate captives from their clothing.
The ladies change into corsets, long gloves, stockings and high-heeled boots. After hooking chains to the men's cuffed wrists, they pull them up to a height that separates their feet from the floor. After a thorough whipping, the demonic trio demands body worship. Then they buckle-up strap-ons and enforce a new pain and humiliation regimen for their prey.
The story feasts on a banquet of deviant permutations — women hurt men, men punish women, women spank women — and a licentious spectrum of sexual activities. The club and its mercurial denizens expose multiple moods and modalities in their relentless quest for pleasure and pain. In one sequence, a woman tells her boss, “Now dress pretty for me,” and he winds up in feminine undies and heels.
