During the 1970s, Eros Publishing Company launched the Bizarre Books series with diagonal Eros Goldstripe ribbons on covers. The series featured male domination and female domination themes, often with forced transvestism and fetish rituals, usually illustrated by a gifted artist.
At Aunt Carla's request, Martin Thatcher's wife Ellen visits palatial Desmond Hall in rural Desmondville. The young woman dies under mysterious circumstances and her widower doesn't believe she was frightened to death by a ghost.
As soon as her niece is in the ground, sexy Aunt Carla makes unexpected advances toward Martin. But this is deceit intended to conceal her scheme to wrest ownership of the Desmond estate, and all the valuable real estate surrounding it, from the heirs.
With assistance from young Susan Hastings and Rusty, her well-endowed houseboy, Carla seduces, then punishes Martin. She enforces a painful program of punishment and degradation, always accomplished when she and Susan are dressed in stockings, corsets and high heels. He's introduced to bondage, whipping, restrictive garments and a two-headed dildo.
The ghost of Desmond Hall assails Martin in two episodes, but he unmasks the woman in the disguise. Carla also follows a “regimen of physical and mental torment and abuse” with strong but submissive Rusty.
