Volume 5 introduces us to eight people who provide personal histories that describe their experiences, aspirations, challenges and preferences. One has begun working as a dancer in a chorus line at a cabaret. The others are men who wish they had been born female or who enjoy the tactile pleasure of women's clothing.
The letters discuss fabrics and foundations, makeup, wigs and shaving. The dresses and undergarments of sisters are often the first items of exploration. As these individuals develop private lives as adults, their wardrobes expand to include all that women wear.
Some fondly remember days they appeared in public as female, or how their appearance garnered wolf whistles from men. One tells of automobile travels and encounters with gas station attendants.
Others dress only in private, their alternate identities a secret to friends and family. Some correspondents have a wife or family who disapprove of their pastime. Several dream of appearing in public in female dress, but don't because of concern about small-town narrow mindedness.
Most of the six writers are recreational, at-home transvestites who make no reference to appearing on stage. Several appreciate information provided in Nutrix publications, but would like to correspond with others who have similar interests.
The longest letter and the largest number of photos show Lynne in different dresses. If he were younger, he would opt for gender surgery. He provides details about his undies, high heels and techniques he's used to learn to walk in them as a woman would.
The original volume has more than 30 photographs of guys in drag at home. Most wear dresses or skirts, but Marilyn shows off in stockings, longline bra and panties. It appears that most photographs were taken in the early 1960s.
The ebook is a close digital replica, duplicating the page sequence of the original. The pictures are snapshots by amateurs using simple cameras. Tonality was adjusted to achieve clarity, but most edges are soft. All the content of the original is included in the ebook, including advertising for Nutrix products.
